So many on here were desperate for robins to attack the owners. The disappointment was almost visible. MMM, Don, the increasingly absurd Sky Blue John and the high flyer from The City were left floundering. Then came the gibberish;

He was bribed
He knows nothing about the arrangements (though one may think a poster on here may know less than a senior employee in the company)
He's just greedy (acknowledged by all other than the above until now)

Time to face facts;

The owners are all we have
The owners are heavily investing in the football club this season
The owners will no longer be screwed by the council over the rent

The time to take sides is now. Back the club and its owners or support the council and its absurd quango and let the club die.

The clubs demise has nothing to do with any of the factors I have outlined -- it all hinged on Devid Bell signing a 3 year contract (Ps...it's 4)

You've misunderstood big time.

In this rent saga, the majority of fans are siding AGAINST our beloved Coventry City Football Club (they talk of loyalty of players, and managers, yet, stab the club straight in the back with a rusty knife - somewhat hypocritical I think!) many people blame SiSU for this mess, while they have made mistakes, some big mistakes - don't get me wrong! - their predecessors has made it a somewhat impossible job, they sold the Highfield Road, was a catalyst in this downward spiral to oblivion (League One), they also negotiated the crippling rent which is being imposed on our club who cannot afford to pay and ACL, whilst proposing seemingly reasonable agreements, they are still in pursuit of the FULL rent backdated, the very reason this bitter struggle carries on.

If ACL drop this pursuing of the full rate back, I'd guess that an agreement would be more likely, yet ACL remain adament it is their devine right to continue stealing from CCFC. They are playing their part in this dispute, yet they repudiate any wrongdoing on ACL's part.

Grendel hasn't said it's the fans' fault for selling HR or giving Bell a contract (btw, Thorn wanted that, not SiSU they sorted it out on his behalf, and were 'backing' their manager) so get this out of your thought processes.

What he is saying, if I'm wrong, correct me, is that ACL can gauge fan support, which is against SiSU and therefore our club, our team, so ACL can therefore take a more intransigent stance on the issue.

Not waste taxpayers' money* all 13 million of it (?) on an insolvent corporation that is fleecing our club, yet the majority of fans remain oblivious to this. For a start.

* Ironic this, because people were moaning about SiSU's renegade tactics, which are working thus far, were wasting taxpayers' money, yet the council bailed ACL out.

I do remember when there was uproar that we turned down a halved rent agreement, yet they've lowered their demands again, exactly what I said in 1st and 2nd instances. :thinking about:

Had the council refused to get involved the club would have gone bust the very next day. The club begged the council to build the Ricoh, with local polls showing 90% of people backing the clubs stance.

I did not expect Mark Robins to say anything about the club. I assumed he will have signed a confidentiality agreement.

I have not seem or heard him make any reference to the council either.

I find it very strange that in joining a new club in he first interview he would start discussing coventry city council.

MR robins is a tiny issue with me and our owners I have posted my full thoughts on them on another thread.

I have not always mis trusted them.

I kept an open mind yet. Recently I massively lost faith and trust in them

I started to like what they were saying in the summer

They signed freebies. I started to think maybe they have changed.

Their recent actions regarding the rent and sacking a manager after 3 games has led to me losing trust in them again.

I don't think we can be any further away from their aims of owning our own stadium and premiership football.

Your post is slightly contradictory, your saying ACL need to have a intransigent stance, which would force CCFC out, yet, you are saying we need to safeguard the city from loss of jobs? Sort it out!

Jobs are at stake if there is no club playing at the RICOH, I can speak with authority on this, my employers benefit because of the store's location, and trust me, it would probably cost me my job, or some of my colleagues if CCFC left the RICOH.

It was chaos when we played Crewe at home btw, not that far, it was very, very busy.

A democratically elected body? Is that ACL? No.

The choice is a 'shadowy' hedge fund v 'shadowy' politicians who are careerists, not a great choice is it? That isn't the choice though, it is a people's club vs a private corporation, that's what it is.

We can't afford rent, we're paying premier league rent, we cannot afford it if we want to be a viable business (I hate saying that of any sports club), which may attract new investors, which is another contradictory stance of your camp because if we are burdened, no one will want to buy us, yet, if we are viable, investors come in, SiSU go, win-win.

But you're asking me to buy into the illusion of CCFC being a "people's club".
WE like to think of it as such but it isn't really, is it?
We don't even know who its major shareholders are, where their interests lie.
What could be more shadowy than that??

I accept that if rent was lower we might be more viable to sell but as we cannot be certain of the current owners intentions you are asking me to believe in the never never. Sorry, I'm not going to buy that.
ACL have reduced the rent (massively) and Sisu should thank them and try and run the club and stop playing silly buggers.

ACL are pushing them out, it's ACL that are shooting themselves and the corporations in the foot.
