What is it with all this 'I've lost interest' & 'The club id dead to me' Crap? (1 Viewer)

Are we real fans or not?
The club is not dead, not yet anyway! Yes it's been hijacked but it still exists and here are two certain facts:
1. SISU will not own the club forever
2. We will not play in Northampton forever
So could we all show a little loyalty and passion and stay with the club, at least in spirit until this thing is over?
Lost interest??? That shows real commitment I must say! It's been less than a season and I read that people don't even look out for the score anymore! If that's you then take a look in the mirror and have a word!
This is our club, will you really give up on it so easily? I will not.

I think you'll find Samo that many people have given up or lost interest whilst we are playing home games in Northampton - including me. When we return to Coventry, I'm sure those very same fans will have their interest re-kindled.

I lost interest when SISU ripped us apart and took us away from Coventry
is hard to be interested when your home games are miles away in bingo bingo land

Some find it harder than others.

Most people have suddenly lost interest because the results have declined. No open letters to the Telegraph when things were going well.

Too right - there was hardly any discontent voiced about the change of location prior to the downturn in form. Typical fickle Cov fans...

Oh, I don't know. If people can't get tickets for big games they're straight on the phone to CWR.

No open letters to the Telegraph when things were going well.

There may have been. There seems to have been a change in tact at the CT of late. Just because they weren't publishing open letters doesn't mean they weren't being written to them. They seem to be banging the drum of the masses recently where it could be argued that they had been a mouth piece for sisu up until Xmas time-ish.

Tim and the badgers being a classic attempt to make people think they were doing something. Straws and clutching springs to mind.

What is it with all these fickle fans? I mean when we were flying high we were packing Shitfields out with 7,000 roaring devotees and thousands more outside desperate to get in...just like TF said there would be. A few dodgy results and the glory hunters desert us in their droves. I have lost a lot of interest because this no longer feels like my club...it's been taken away from me, not the other way around. All things CCFC were a major part of my life but just recently there's been occasions when I didn't even know we were playing...if someone like me can lose interest then anyone can. The club won't be dead to me though until the day when the possibility of returning to my home city again is lost forever.

That's where we differ Del, I'm angry and disillusioned but always interested, always listening on CWR and always on here for news. Glad to read your last sentence though.

They've been supporting the right club if they like a drama. I guess the issue is that it's all been off pitch and not on.

I've been a sky blue supporter since 1963. It's been more a roller coaster ride than a drama. I've seen us finish 6th and take on the likes of Bayern Munich and the mighty Trakia Plovdiv and am now seemingly looking forward to a local derby with Nuneaton Borough  a team we used to play in pre-season friendlies when we were a premiership team. The roller coaster is now on its downward run and, sadly, looks likely to plunge further.

I don't think anyone even mentioned the fact we were playing in Northampton when we won. I only found out we were there a few weeks ago.

On the button as always Fernando

What a ridiculous post - the SKISU actions namely taking the club out of the city has reduce the opportunity for large numbers of fans to watch them. Out of sight out of mind, the club isn't dead yet but feels like it is dying

Yeh you're right, as soon as my girlfriend leaves the house I couldn't give a shit about her anymore! And my mum lives in the states, couldn't care less about her either!

Must admit I was the same until a few weeks ago Samo...been to a fair few away games this season and always listened on CWR to the games and phone ins. I've become that disillusioned with the whole sorry saga recently though as there really does appear to be no hope of a return home in the next few years...Just feel so disconnected from the club right now and so fed up with these stupid power games between those who couldn't give 2 shiny shits about the damage this has caused to the club, fans and very future of a club that essentially belongs to us. Would be back up there like a shot though if we ever do eventually come home.

Samo sky blue fans over the years lived in hope rather than expectation, their actions have ensured that fans have lost hope, a self-imposed move out of the city hoping for some result that will benefit their investors not bothered about the club.

Comparisons to personal relationships are erroneous Northants is avoidable less fans watch the club now, we all know next eason if we are at Northants still we will have an even more inferior squad, dying club with little prospect of being brought home in the short term

A lot of us have let our feelings be known all season and before. Even when the results have gone our way. One difference is that when the results were going our way we were getting gates of 2,500 and more. We are now down to 1,600.....including away fans. So we have lost nearly 1,000 more out of about 2,200 home fans. That means many more of us have something to say instead of going whatever happens and making out all is well.

So what do we do? Abandon the club we have supported all our lives because things have become difficult? You go ahead but not for me.

The club abandoned the fans when they moved to Northants. Crewe next week will be my last game of the season. Not sure if I will bother next year, we are a sham of a club on a continued decline with owners that don't care. The AFC option I think will hsppen over the next few years.

It's either a doom thread or I'm a super fan thread on here at the moment.

it's a tricky situation because if we were playing shite or the club was in serious debt and needed big attendances then we should rally around and support them every week.

BUT, the club have alienated the fans and people have lost faith in the club itself, not the players, so I can see why many have said "I will not go again"

I found out yesterday that one of my friends who goes to almost every game, home and away, sixfields included, he has washed his hands of CCFC altogether :(
