It was in fact number one on that very day
At half time people were a bit down and edgy, come all this way and losing- then
they played this and loads of people
ended up singing along and there was a strange, intangible feeling that we were gonna win, the rest as they say...
I’ve loved this ever since (not musically!) and for the few hundred behind the goal near me as well as myself, it will always remind us of half time, Wembley, May 16th 1987
I can remember on Central News the night before the cup final Greavsie predicted us to get smashed and they played this to clips of the previous rounds, what memories, that's why both my youngsters are coming with me on Monday to make there own grest memories.'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now' by Starship.
That was the song that seemed to inspire the whole of Coventry in May 1987.
It’s amazing how that song is associated with that cup win, every time I hear it, it transports me back to the semis and final.I can remember on Central News the night before the cup final Greavsie predicted us to get smashed and they played this to clips of the previous rounds, what memories, that's why both my youngsters are coming with me on Monday to make there own grest memories.

Shoot to Thrill by AC/DC wouldn't be a bad shout. In most sports these days players like to listen to music before big games to calm them or get them hyped up etc. Which got me thinking what track I'd listen to just before the kick off ? For me I'd want a good rock track blasting out so I'd go for Whole Lotta Rosie by ACDC, as it is lively and gets the blood pumping. So what song would you choose ?
I bet our shifty owners would choose : Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap by ACDC.Shoot to Thrill by AC/DC wouldn't be a bad shout.
