What the fuck has happened to England (2 Viewers)

He's had us competing at every competitive tournament he's entered. I like a good moan, but this is true overactive nonsense.

I agree with your first point (but so he should with the players at his disposal)

I think the second part is a result of the frustration that he isn't getting the best out of them.

I think a catalogue of a few things that have culminated tonight.

Shouldn’t be playing in mid June if it’s not a WC/Euro.
Some players clearly out of form and still
playing 90 mins.
Tactics are set up to not lose, but lack positive threat at times beyond Sterling running a bit fast at people.
Kane keeps dropping back far too much to get the ball, but then we lack a figurehead up top.
We were dog shit, he’s got time to turn it around, and has probably earned the right to try and do so.

But he has when it matters. It's very different to complain this result in this overegged friendly is poor, to deciding the manager deserves no credit for results when it matters.

I for one look forward to formations that leave Maguire one on one with Mbappe half a dozen times a game.

And seems to be stuck in a rut of not really wanting to evolve the team/system.

Looking forward to his interview (he will blink....a lot) and cross checking it with my bingo card. Less than 2 and I'm going to be gutted.

Overegged friendly or not you should always want to win and if anything use it as an even better opportunity to let the shackles off and have fun.

Though when it mattered in the final he made us camp in our half and throw away a final on home soil.

If we're playing France.. then being more pragmatic can be the way. It's that he is overcautious for me, when our strength is in having creative players.

This does have big "City have lost to Swindon in friendly" energy

Well the knock on effect of England being relegated in the nations league is it can effect their qualifications group for future tournaments .. it's more than a friendly, and I'm certain when we got to the semi against Holland in 2019 you , like me , got well up for it

Wasn't me!
He's been on Twitter answering loads of Posh fans questions- does it from time to time... one asked about England.
His reply made me chuckle!!

I didn't say it was but someone had.

Shocked he didn't state himself or Darren Ferguson was the answer

Apart from the fact he got the tactical decisions wrong in both the Croatia and Italy games which is why we lost them of course, he isn't good enough for a country hoping to win tournaments

Also talking about Football owners on twitter, does the Accrington one still post after he made a tit of him self at the start of the first lockdown

Who of genuine world class ability wants to be England manager.

Watched from 0-1, it was turgid garbage. I’ve been a reluctant Southgate supporter, and it’s too late to sack him pre World Cup IMO, but he needs to show a lot more with these players to stay on past that.
