After exploring all the options, will just go in the Roost. What's the worst that can happen? :hurting:
Do we reckon Blues will be all over the Digbeth pubs? I think I might head for the pubs out the other side of New street
Police announced yesterday that only the Roost will be accepting Cov fans.
I predict big problems getting a beer near the ground.
Is Hennessey's alright? Went to uni with a lad who was bottled in there about a decade or so ago and he had to have plastic surgery and won a fair amount of £££ in a settlement, so always automatically assumed it was a dive without ever actually venturing in.
Blues will be in every pub mate and all of them are gonna be rammed. We’ll be in the Bull Ring Tavern at 10.30am then we usually go down to the Kerryman and walk up to the ground around 2.30.
Think someone said its Cov only in the Roost
If you aren’t wearing colours and aren’t being a dick I highly doubt you’ll have any trouble getting in the pubs in Digbeth) or from blues fans). Have been around there on Saturdays before with matches on and never seen any aggro.
There’s always the odd prat of course.

Got a feeling the roost will be packed with Cov and the rest of the pubs all Birmingham.
Aye, dont think ill be as welcome as normal in the Kerryman! Good luck tomorrow...not too much though.
I can see it being full of Blues well before the Cov coaches arrive. Unless they ‘reserve’ spaces in there for the coaches and turn Blues away.
Usually Coventry fans in there from 11 ish on a normal match day.
Same when we’re at home, given how packed it gets Blues fans will go earlier to make sure they get in

Still think there will be more Coventry fans there as it's the only pub accepting Coventry supporters.
I'm staying clear though.
Planning to get there at 11.30, so if it's already full by then it will be a major headache.
What about the Cricketers? That's away fan friendly for Blues games so should be OK tomorrow?
I'll be in the Jacobean on Holyhead Rd, Saturday evening.
The Kerryman is no better or worse than any of the others.
One place that very few Blues fans use on match day is the All Bar One at New St station. Nice place, bit more expensive than Digbeth with a taxi rank round the corner.
I’d stay in city centre if it was me. Tons of pubs which will be far less packed. Just google.
Overweight and a shaved head ha. See you there!
I will look out for you, probably not getting there until about 1pm.
Brother-in-laws birthday on Sunday so we're off out for dinner, but we always stay at the Jacobean when we're in Cov. Just me, the missus and my wee Chihuahua if anyone fancies a quick pint! What's the occasion H?

Love it Clint! My son works there part time mate but he'll probably be in a gutter in Digbeth tomorrow evening!
Enjoy your weekend back in the holy city H!

ubber to ground roost
I've just sent emails to the Woodman, Digbeth Dining Club, Digbrew, the Spotted Dog and Dead Wax Digbeth (which I am assuming is the renovated Wagon & Horses) RE their stance for Cov & Blues fans. Will let everyone know if I hear back from any of them.
