Its since we moved to the Ricoh 100%. I'd put it about 2008Was it during the early 00s that we came out to a medley of The Final Countdown and O Fortuna?

Just been looking at some of my old videos on there, some of the Ricoh from 15 years ago. Empty.
This howler from Lee Burge at Kenilworth Road, six years ago today. Remember it being such a warm, sunny day.
No, I only recall the "hits".Does anyone remember It's For Life, Son by BA Robertson?
No we want nostalgia not nightmares.
My dad insists that we ran out to this song (which was a total dirge) for one season in the late 90s because Robertson was a personal friend of Bryan Richardson. But I can't find any trace of it anywhere! No, I only recall the "hits".
Final Countdown by Europe was as we moved into the Ricoh 2005 and also Sandstorm by Darude, banging tunes !! hahahahaIts since we moved to the Ricoh 100%. I'd put it about 2008
I did hear at school - I left in 1982 - that BA was a Coventry City fan. Have never, until now, heard anyone else mention it. Or hint at it anyway. Maybe it was true.My dad insists that we ran out to this song (which was a total dirge) for one season in the late 90s because Robertson was a personal friend of Bryan Richardson. But I can't find any trace of it anywhere!
This was def at HR in the build up to the final season there. Its since we moved to the Ricoh 100%. I'd put it about 2008
Instantly sucked back to HR:
Guess you could interrupt it as success after our fear of liquidation hahalyrically it doesnt work in championship does it.
"every year, the dreaded fear
look at us still we are here
with the rest, with the best,"
...awkward.
I had the CD as well.
I think it had 2 or 3 tracks on it and I used to play it on repeat.
Simpler times!
I don't think we've had a single season back in the Championship without someone predicting relegation midway through!lyrically it doesnt work in championship does it.

Sounds right up there with the Sonia 'Get your tits out for the lads' rendition. At least that 's all I could hear, not sure what she was actually trying to sing.Your dad is extending slightly.
it was announced that there would be major exciting news for all SkyBlue fans if we got to our seats in HR before kick off on the opening Saturday of our relegation season.
There was much speculation that we would be signing some World Cup superstar or similar. Anyroadup, it turned out that the big announcement was none other than BA Robertson - a personal friend of our manager Wee Gordon - had written a song that encapsulated the joy and commitment of being a football fan (especially of us). We got to hear the “world premiere” “performance” of the song -It’s for Life son. BA Robertson frolicked around while it blared over the tannoy to a decidedly mixed reception.
IIRC we were beaten 3-1 by Middlesbro and the song was never played again.
The Gurno mix is the best, includes Gurney's commentary of goals from Huckerby, Moldovan and Dublin. "Johnny on the spot Dion Dublin"duh, duh, duh, Sky Blue Army
duh, duh, duh, Sky Blue Army
duh, duh, duh, Sky Blue Army
C.C.F.C!
Oh God, this too:
It was Strachan that was his pal.My dad insists that we ran out to this song (which was a total dirge) for one season in the late 90s because Robertson was a personal friend of Bryan Richardson. But I can't find any trace of it anywhere!
You're thinking of the (brilliantly titled) "Gurno Mix" of the same songFor some bizarre reason I always thought Rob Gurney 'sang' this - I really like it - it's even on my Spotify playlist haha
It's part of my Wembley playlist on Spotify
Yes we go to Wembley so much, I have a playlist for it
Our first Sky game?Sounds right up there with the Sonia 'Get your tits out for the lads' rendition. At least that 's all I could hear, not sure what she was actually trying to sing.
Not sure if mentioned already but know there is a song that has the lyrics
Coventry City, Coventry City
We are the Sky Blues
Wherever we play, home or away
We'll support you win or lose
City!
City!
