When a new manager comes into a club it nearly always begins with a honeymoon period and games won instead of lost.
So if a new one came in to our club now, we could gain enough points to move away from where we are,and even get just outside the play offs ?
Out of interest, what are the people who think Pressley is going a good job's views on SISU?
They all think the the Players are garbage and every win we get is outstanding management by the messiah and not even Jose could get better results.
I've heard it all from the Pressley in crowd, sacking the manager won't solve anything, who else could we get (exactly what they said when Robbins left), every name you give of a manager doing it in a lower league has no experience, Pressley is a young manager bound to make mistakes, players leaving are not good enough anyway so on and so on.
Everything about Pressleys record is shocking and the fact everyone goes about his record of developing youth is laughable, all our current youth gems that either are being sold or ruined by him are the fine work of Rioch. And for anyone on twitter not following Greg Rioch you should check out his posts quite clear why he left
I'm truly amazed that I haven't read he's been sacked this morning and if we stick with him we are down.
Strangely Nick I've noticed since our return to the Ricoh that our nemesis SISU have hardly been mentioned.Out of interest, what are the people who think Pressley is going a good job's views on SISU?

Either, many fans have accepted that we're stuck with them,or just lost interest ?
Out of their depth? Of course most of them are good enough for league 1.
11 Good players won't always make a good team though.

Wingy I spoke last night to a group of fans in the Wheatsheaf and each of them said Pressley should not get sacked,so I see that as them being happy with him.I'd sack him today as I'm not !Who's saying they're happy with Pressley?;-)
Care to post some of Gregors tweets up for those that don't do twitter

Cheers fellaAs soon as I've figured out how transfer from phone to here I'll do it, off to my little girls b'day party first
Like I said SISU never get talked about so you could take that as many are happy with them. I'm not so they should go with Pressley too !But they aren't fussed about SISU either?

You don't need to sign up to anything to see them. It's pretty similar to what some on here say to be honest, when any player leaves he seems to imply they will do better now they are under another management team who can realise the players potential.
It's time fans stopped sticking up for the manager as football is all about results and our's are terrible. I like Pressley as a bloke as he seems honest and likeable, but I liked my ex missus but that didn't stop me from calling it a day. In other words sentiment doesn't get you anywhere if things need changing. So sorry Steven there's the door thanks and all that but goodbye !The post is about SP and whether he is doing a reasonable job under the circumstances? Well tbh he is not, at least not anymore.
His decision making of late has been questionable by many. Team selections, tactics etc. I would agree with that criticism.
I think it's time we all accepted this is not about SISU. This is about a manager who is failing at getting results on a consistent level and with the resources he has at hand.
Those resources are good enough on paper at this level for a playoff place in many other peoples assessment it would be fair to say. Indeed SP said as much himself.
All managers go through good and bad phases but the recent return to the Ricoh should have brought some stability and encouragement to the club. We are here for the foreseeable future and any talk about other stadiums is just that, talk. Players and managers should not be putting any emphasis on that side of the clubs issues...it's out of their hands. They have employment contracts and probably the best facilities of any league one club at their disposal.
I said earlier a little tongue in cheek about SP being a number 2 and bringing in someone who knows these leagues better and has better contacts, someone I think SP can learn from. But the reality of that happening is probably zero.
I think what SISU have now put in place with the academy investment, the will to bring the youth through and find sustainability to build on is correct. If we have to sell one or two that come through then that will always be the case. Hopefully before then they will have made their impact with us and improved us. SP may be the one to bring this policy to fruition based on his past record.
The more immediate problem is his management of the first team. I think here he can be considered a failure. Whether that's his alone or some blame attached to the back room staff is open to question but the buck stops with him.
Unless there is a marked improvement with the first team results over the next month I can't see his position remaining tenable.
