I,am Skybluefred, I attended my first game at Highfield Rd in 1946. My grandad played centre half for Singers FC.
I despise sisu and every thing they stand for and the intimidating way they go about business.I would paint the town red
if they went bust tomorrow
.

CCC on the other hand stepped in and saved the Ricoh development when all seemed lost. ACL was formed to manage
the Stadia complex which on it's own is a massive task. Yes the rent was to high for a Championship or 1st division
club, which they have offered reduced terms on.

Basically ACL/CCC have done nothing to harm the club--Sisu on the other hand are destroying it. My only love in all of this is CCFC and playing in Coventry but not under sisu ownership.

Make of that what you like it will not change my opinion.:blue:

Shouldn't that be Sky Blue?? ;)

Top man Skybluefred. I am only a few years behind you. Words of wisdom spoken here. I am 100% aligned with you.

I could agree that they would have saved the club when they did IF they hadn't whacked a massive rent on there. If they said "We can see you are screwed, have it dirt cheap for a few years while you sort yourself out". It is like me saying I saved my brother when he was homeless by renting him my house for 5 times the market price.

This has been over and over. But:

- the club were offered a sliding scale, they rejected
- the club made no serious attempt to renegotiate
- the club's losses have always far outstripped the rent amount, player wages have bust us, not rent payments
- the club got the first year's rent free
- Up to Tim Fisher, Sisu's position was "we're happy with the rent and we don't want the stadium just yet". So much so that when a board member (Brody) suggested the rent was a problem, Sisu denied it.

He probably still has a few leaflets in the boot of his car waiting for a use ;)

I'm like Greyfriars Bobby.

Ever since that day with the leaflets I have turned up every Saturday on the corner of Thackhall Street at 2 p.m. just in case anyone ever turns up.

I'm the bold headed one on the hill I have never been afraid to say who I am.

In fact Tim Fisher knows me. (not a joke)

So i noticed after you refused a can off me on the way back from Wembley cj lol.

Very good to finally meet you. Your boy is a character! Chip off the old block.

SOS I envy each and everyone one of you all!

People discussing this in pub last night. Lots agreeing on who they think some leading posters on here are, and a couple of multiple identities. Some people eg PWKH don't use anonymity, others like kingwalker are pretty open about who they are. So if people have something so say why not have the bottle to say who you are? I was really proud of our team and the SBA yesterday. Pressley and the players deserve so much better than the current mess. As fans we can only do so much but standing together and being united is something which is in our power to do. As is people on here who want to influence others stopping the cowardice of anonymity, growing a pair and be honest about who you are.

I am an old git (70+) Jeez, where has it all gone, the majority spent supporting CCFC for the last 50 years as a ST holder following the highs and many lows of our beloved club.

Recent events:

Depends what you count as "the public eye". We have Trust board members, Michael himself of course and a few bloggers and podcasters, as well as the occasional appearance from Linnell. I'd imagine we have a few councillors as well, simply because they are City fans and therefore probably end up on here.

I also think Torchy is big in Japan ;)

Fair point. Most of those above identify themselves as such.

I just don't buy the constant conspiracy theories there are Sisu insiders or ACL insiders on these boards (other than those who identify as such). People have different opinions, that is life. I've disagreed with you a lot over the last few days but don't suspect you of being anything but a fan with a different opinion.

Im Lewis, 23, live in Coventry, Father to my 8 month old daughter, work at Jaguar Land Rover as a Crash Test Engineer (are you the dummy? har-de-har!), Used to go to every game home and away but now with work and my daughter time is hard to find (also saving to buy a house so money is being used elsewhere) so have not been to a game this season, used to part-own and write "Twist and Shout" fanzine with Jimbo and CJ. ^ Both the fact you were allergic to alcohol, and the fact you couldn't take 5 steps without breaking a testicle meant away days were sometimes difficult!

How do we know PWKH or anyone doesn't use anonymous usernames?

If you are accusing some people of doing it, you have to accept that anyone can do it.

I'm Ann Lucas.

I'm PWKH apparently (Grendel said so). ;)

I'm not bothered if people know who I am. My avatar is me (out on a days fishing trip). My name's Baz, I'm in my 60's, went to my first game in 1963. One-time Steward at HR (McDonalds Family Stand). Dad to 7 kids, 16 grandkids and 1 great-grandson. Now living on the Isle of Wight. Retired due to health. Ex BBC-CWR, know Fozzie (Geoff Foster) and was good mates with Rob Gurney. Once got a bollocking from Ron Atkinson at Ryton.
That's about it. As Harold Melvin & the Bluenotes once sang.... "♪♫♪♫♫ If You Don't Know Me By Now, You will Never, Ever Know Me ♪♫♫♫♪"....

I'd have Bill Cosby narrating over Morgan Freeman any day. You may lose a little bass and gravitas, but you make up for it with all the scatting and be-bopping.
