Why didn't the ref or lino do anything about this? (1 Viewer)

Thing is, in the last few years everyone's become aware of ways to illegally win fouls.

Corner flag and put your back into the guy behind you and fall on thr ball. Foul
Lose out on a 50-50 and fall over and grab the ball. You in the foul
Hand slightly on your back, fall on the ball. You win the foul

All fans know these are cheat pathetic ways to win a free kick and last year refs were told to start letting them go. But the linos are still backwards. They can't wait to wave their flag in the air and the ref then has to give the foul.

I get that these days it's a fast game and officials will miss stuff and mistakes will be made. What gets me is how regularly there's things that every person in the ground can see but the officials.

It gets to the point you start doubting yourself but then you see it back and it confirms what you saw with your own eyes. How does such obvious stuff get missed week in, week out.

Exactly this, 100%

Strangely he managed to give a free kick against Rudoni for absolutely nothing.
And that 1 on 1 between Simms and their FB which was a fair shoulder charge but the guy went down like the sack of shit he is and lino fell for it. Appalling decision.
The only thing he did get right was the no offside decision for their second goal. I wonder if Dovin was sure it was offside and didn't scramble for it. Their keeper would have stopped that. He played a blinder

The first swing was the worst. He didn't make contact, so not sure where the rules stand on that, but there was clear intent. One of the most aggressive acts I've seen in a long time on a football pitch.
Pete's already confirmed it still punishable!

I recorded the game and watched the whole thing yesterday. Commentary never mentioned it either.

Yeah, I watched it on Sky and it was barely mentioned really.

I only saw it clearly when posted on here. Then it looks so obvious doesn't it.

I saw he lashed out, but looking at it in isolation, he actually seems to be swinging a punch doesn't he

They should definitely look at that.

The other thing you could tell the ref saw it and felt not giving him a free kick for the tackle on him was equivalent
Madness really
