Will be disappointed if we don’t win this, I was the Blackpool game but that was more down to the circumstances of the bug which went through the camp. Interesting as to how Robins goes with this I think Bidwell will start and O’Hare for Palmer who looked to me had a little knock Saturday.
Has the threat of five yellow cards and a game ban gone yet ?

19 games I think. So two more.

As I said on another thread, they’ve scored in every away league game, it would be lovely to shut them out but I reckon 3-1 to us.
Vik,Mcfadz and Hamer.

Hello all, apologies for going slightly off topic. I’m planning to bring my father to tomorrow’s match, but he has very recently had replacement knee surgery. Will he be allowed to take his crutch into the ground?

Do we know if Doyle is likely to be back? I’d quite like to see him in for Fadz again.

Will probably depend on the steward. They’re not explicitly banned or allowed but you could argue they come under “can be used as a weapon”

Guess you could describe it as the business end. Having a higher win% when you are lower down the table gives significant changes to your position in the league. Higher up, and it starts to get much harder because other teams will also have higher win% making the travel time between the teams a little bit longer when climbing the table.

I think, luckily for everyone, there are spurts and sputters which teams usually get themselves into, or come running up against.

Also, the higher you go, the more you lose in position if you lose, or draw a match. All the fun of the fair.

Cross the 1500 line and everything starts working in reverse!
Do we still win if we score the most goals?

As long as he’s not planning to drink from it

Most definitely he will be able.
I've had both my knees replaced in the space of 9 months and although I can walk perfectly well without crutches I feel a little more safe when climbing the steps in the stadium.
My experience is that most folk tend to be very considerate if they see someone relying on crutches.
Enjoy the match.

Thank you all, tickets booked. It’s his first time going for a few years. I guess even if somebody might be overly zealous then it’s money for the club.

Hopefully will be decent numbers for these 2 home games, particularly given that afterwards there’s no good football for a month

Covs typical pattern over the years I've been a fan:

* Think we'll get hammered by the better teams - Often play well and get a result

* Think we'll hammer the poorer teams - Often play dreadful and lose

Therefore a little concerned about this one. Hoping we get an early goal to assert some pressure early doors. Going for a 2-2 draw. Fadz and Gyo.

Wilson
Rose Fadz Panzo
Eccles Hamer Sheaf Bidwell
O’Hare Allen
Györkeres

Moore, Burroughs, Palmer, Kane, Walker, Tavares, Howley

Anything less that a win will be disappointing but we have been here many, many times before! I'm hoping for a comfotable 3-0 win but can easily see it being a 0-1 extravaganza of bullshit

Yes, we’ll they do walking sticks, if there’s space they might let him in the invalid seats

I’m not saying people are wrong that this is the sort of game we will lose. But speak to any supporter of any club and they’ll all say the same thing.

It was all over the Watford forum after they lost to us. “Typical <insert your team here>”

Yeah, everyone lives in a vacuum of 'it only happens to us' - same with ref decisions, winning games you shouldn't etc.

I think the only valid case we have is 'I swear we are the only team who have played in four home grounds in the last 9 years.'

A Wigan supporting colleague is beyond pessimistic about their chances and expects to get relegated. Says they looked petrified at Swansea even when leading 2-0 and collapsed.

There are zero easy games in this league and if we stop showing the attitude we have done recently we’ll get nothing.

To be fair, I'm not saying it only happens to us. Just always seems to be the case (without evidence TBF) that we do well against good teams, poor against poor teams.

As much as I would like to see the box formation with Sheaf, Hamer, Palmer, O'Hare & Vik, Jamie Allen has been superb recently so has to start.
I'd bring in Bidwell for Burroughs and O' Hare for Palmer for this one. Saying that though I thought Burroughs looked the real deal on Saturday. No need for a back up left wing back now, based on that.

In the 80's we beat Liverpool once 4-0 and everyone said we always do well against teams like Liverpool - we won 3 in 18 in the 80's

He will have games where he struggles but he sounded very level headed and had the confidence to tell Robins he wanted to stay and earn a place. It’s a massive plus for us if he makes the grade as you say.

I haven't looked it up but at HR we did have a decent record against Liverpool in the 70's/ 80's, particularly considering how good they were. There were an awful lot of draws though which were like moral victories. Maybe its Sky Blue tinted specs, but I can remember as many wins as defeats (need to go and look it up now).

Anfield was a different matter though. Regular beatings until Cyrille got a winner at the end of the 80's.

Surprised to read this. McFadz has been far superior. Doyle had one decent game but generally worries me. Obviously has a lot of talent, of course.

One of the mad hatters is on crutches, gets them in everywhere
