Your right from what I've read on here the OP should have said What Good board members have we had? might have cut it down to 1 page?
Fuck me some right miserable so and so's on here has nothing good ever come out of CCFC
Just to prove to the doubters on here that we are the same person I actually admired Richardson and I am convinced if that clown mcginnity had not succeeded him we'd have got back up and we certainly would have a better deal at the Ricoh.
I'd say Duleiu was the most inept that I've known
John Clark.
You actually admired Richardson, oh it explains so much about you, I am gobsmacked that anyone could say something like this about the man that stole Highfield Road from CCFC
Unbelievable
It's a tough one. On the pitch Richardson and Fisher have probably delivered the most. But off it both have done more damage than the rest put together.
I'd say Richardson just for running up the debt and getting us relegated the first time. Starting our downward spiral in footballing terms, which ultimately is all I care about.
What about the theft of highfield road with cohort hover
I am sure you were saying that when we were playing the best football certainly in my lifetime in 1998
Richardson for reasons that can't really be discussed until the people who signed the confidentiality clause are no longer on this planet.
This thread is quite good for summing it up http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/threads/22805-Bryan-Richardson

Only to make magic happen with one of the clubs.
What about the theft of highfield road with cohort hover
'98 was good but '77 was better.
Good start meant ken deluded
You admire the thief who stole Highfield Road,
you complain about ricoh rent yet Highfield road rent paid was very similar to the sale price to whom?
Think most intelligent people know who 'bought' it first in one guise or another.
You continue in your deluded state
What about the theft of highfield road with cohort hover
Agree with a lot of what Grendel says, in hindsight we needed to push to become at least a yoyo club after relegation. Selling the family silver (players and the stake in the Ricoh) fucked us over as did terrible manager selection. Who can forget "instant success"?
On another note I actually liked Brody. Wasn't afraid to think outside the box, was approachable. I think being foreign and a bit flash went against him a lot. Also I don't think he appreciated how conservative football fans can be and could've kept some of his crazier ideas quiet. But new ideas of themselves aren't a bad thing.
Maybe. But at the end of the day he was harmless enough. He didn't help to destroy our club like Richardson and Fisher.
Yea, when I think of Dulieu I get the image of him topping up his fake tan sitting in his Portugal villa 24/7 just generally not giving a crap.
How anyone that's only permitted to be in the country for 90 days a year was allowed to run a football club is beyond me.
Wonder what happened to his stake ? Ten % was'nt It? Who took that on and has It carried through into the New structure ?
In have to agree as much as loved Jimmy Hill the manager I disliked Hill the chairman even as manager he left us in the shite when he resigned. People seem to forget under his chairmanship we sold star players galore, Ian Wallace to build the white elephant connexion, virtually a whole team of home grown talent, the disastrous all seater stadium which was just putting seats on terracing, reducing an average gate of 25000 to a maximum 21000. Sorry would have been no statue for JH if it was up to me
Think it was Jimmy Hill who invested a lot of the clubs money in the US footbal league, only to see the bottom fall out and CCFC with a huge debt. Did the club have some tie up with Detroit Express?

Washington Diplomats. JH lost a fortune. Hence the "Kill! Kill! Jimmy Hill!" chants that used to ring around HR.
I suppose that what ever Jimmy Hill did, most people would accept that he did with the best interests of the club at heart.
The current owners have another agenda that they will persue at whetever cost to the club and fans.
Hill was a gambler and a high risk one at that.
He created a 12,000 stadium
He wanted a name change and dispose of Coventry city as a name
He wanted to move to the NEC
He blew all our funds on an absurd venture abroad
He bought record transfer signings in high wages who played under 12 games between them
Him and joy would have got on well.
