Tat's why it's Slade and not Thorn in my view. Thorn was thrust into the job by inept owners and fans proclaiming he was the savoir when he clearly wasn't up to the job, not his fault so much. Slade was supposed to be a proper football manager bought in who could turn us around and improve things and the way he failed was so miserable, if you take out cup games his win ratio is something like 4%.Andy Thorn. I hated Slade but at least you can look at his career and see signs of a manager in there, we just let the scout have a go.
Ignoring the spelling - put these in the order of choice
Coleman
Venus
HArbin
Slade
Thorn
Shaw
From worst to best
Slade
Coleman
Thorn
Shaw
Venus.
Wouldn't necessarily put Venus in a list of bad manager tbf. He done an ok job with a pile of shit team Mowbray left him with.

Surely if Venus is excused then Slade would be as well?
Venus was given what he had, slade had a transfer window and chose to bring in Stuart Beavon

Jim Smith - the decision to bring this dinosaur in completely derailed the season (probably alongside the sale of Lee Carsley), our squad in the first season in Division 1 was strong enough to go straight back up. Once we'd failed at the first attempt the writing was on the wall for the long term

Yeah that was dreadful, am I right in thinking our second season was when we signed Adebola, Suffo et al?
