but again, what did you want the ladies to do if that was there only opportunity to keep going?
I can't stand Kalns and Johnson but do you expect them to turn round and say lets jack it because its that or play for that pair of cunts? (I'm also assuming there were no other offers made to them)
I'm just saying that might have been a reason why they weren't getting the money they wanted to get them to be pro. Also why they were so keen to jump in with cov utd.

Yes, and there’s no interest in it. Sunday league football is football, doesn’t mean the entire country wants to watch it and they should all be professional.

So what about when women were banned from playing football years ago and held their game beck decades ?
Should they not atleast be given the opportunity to bring their game back to what it could have been with support ? I think so .. men were never banned from playing football

They're up against it

possibly, if there were overtures being made in the background, which in my opinion validates what @Deleted member 5849 was saying, City pick up the pieces, we get a womens team and one over on cov united, win win.

How on earth is banning football the same as giving them million pound contracts to allow the teams to turn professional?

and the reason it got banned was because it was becoming very popular.

So just give them hundreds of thousands of pounds to keep a club afloat because of what happened years ago?

Even though they don't get people through the doors to get them anywhere near enough income.

Their game was banned from 1921 for almost 50 years.. men did that .

Why shouldn't they financially support the growth of a sport they actively crushed through sexism

One of the reasons they dont get the numbers is because of the sport being banned for 50 years .. they're 5 decades behind where they should be because of sexism and men

So we should then throw in hundreds of thousands a season?

I'm not saying we should, but if the reason we stopped backing them weren't financial then here's an opportunity to take them back under the CCFC umbrella.
If it was financial then we can't really moan if others have decided to provide funds, even if those people involve wankers like Kalns.

I have two girls here with dreams of playing professional football , one is very talented and I've got bellends on social media hell bent on putting their passion down.. because they are women
How am I putting them down. I’m saying the standard doesn’t attract interest. Am I wrong?

The women's game obviously was effecTed by a 50 year ban .. how can anybody argue against that for christ sake

Or because as city fans, we are expected to give a shit.

Of course, keep the kids clubs going. If the ladies team can't afford to be pro then so be it.

so we can't really complain about them getting their funding from elsewhere surely?
And I say that as someone who would go to a CCFC ladies game but won't watch anything under a Cov United banner.

Even if there wasn’t a ban for 50 years they would not be at the same standard and still have not enough interest.

You have absolutely zero idea what kind of Interest it would have , I'm willing to place a bet in 50 years time , the women's game has more interest than today and is in a much better place ?

Obviously you don't think so as it's the same scenario

I haven't complained.

I've just said why should city fans care about cov united?

They wanted to go pro, big promises from cov united which obviously also got stopped.

Of course there will be more interest. If it is self sufficient to allow teams to become professional is a different story

I could not care less about Cov United. Chancers who tried to take advantage of our plight

right, but if City withdrew funding and the ladies got an offer which kept them afloat could they afford to turn it down?
And when you say the same people, do you mean Kalns and Johnson because I'm not sure they were involved, (though I don't know that), but can well believe they were in the background shit stirring.

ive linked a thread they wanted the original team to have more fans than ccfc at six fields - lamtara is Dave Johnson
