Not just the best option the 'only' if you want CCFC to survive IMO.

Look at the alternatives for CCFC (not SISU) analyse them and compare them to a long term rent deal with as much revenue access as possible. Plus sharing common areas ( physios, marketing, shop, training facilities etc....)

I doubt it covers all but yea exactly SISU have no intention of selling to anyone it seems so we have 3 options as I see it.

Build a stadium in Coventry - Doesn't look like being an option under SISU
Build a stadium in a surrounding area - Reaction on here suggests that would be a disaster
Enter a long term rental agreement with Wasps - Would cement our status as a L1 club with the odd year in the championship, as well as the embarrassment of playing in a Wasps branded stadium if/when they change other things in the future.

I know where you are coming from and a new stadium in Coventry sounds great.

SISU have stated it will not be in Coventry. My issue with that is not to do with boundaries. It's to do with attendances. I don't believe they will get any.

I still don't believe a new stadium us a genuine option I think it us purely for negotiation.

I think if I am wrong and it happens it us about getting the investment back. Don't think a 12-15k stadium on Hinckley will ever get 60-90 million back.

A fantastic retail and housing estate will get the most money back.......

Sisu thought they would get 6000 at sixfields never happened.

Wouldn't happen in their own ground in Beduff ether.

So our ability to compete with other clubs in this league would become even lower, lower attendances no sales in the shop and a big building debt to pay off.

Our local derby will end up being Nuneaton Town, well at least we will have the best ground in non league football.

If it was at Bermuda I don't have a problem with the travel however are we not just knocking this issue onto yet other teams (albeit non league teams). This move would then affect Nuneaton and Budduf teams as much as the current situation will affect teams now.

The ideal solution would have been a 50% stake in the Ricoh, we could have really made that arrangement work. With this current situation, we will be the poor lodgers and we will see attendances dwindle.

The best thing the club can do is to invest in January and push for a playoff spot, this will bring people back through the gates on a Saturday and not on sunday. Success will ensure we have our fan base back, you are then in a stronger financial and bargaining position to make a more sensible decision about our future.

100% of the ricoh is even better but it's not realistic is it? Maybe you should be asking why the recent offer for 50% wasn't accepted?

If Sisu had asked for the same deal that Wasps got then they would have been ripping off a local charity and local taxpayers.

I can't quite get my head around this.

If Wasps' owners say it's move or die, even if its 85 miles, most seem to be saying that's fair enough. Some are even going to go and support them.

But if CCFC's owners say it's move or die, even if's just a few miles, the same people are outraged and would never follow the team again.

Personally that seems like the most remarkable set of double standards to me.

I can totally understand that, but surely people still wouldn't go out of their way to try and justify another team doing it? Fair enough it's another team it's happening to so people won't care, so why if they don't care about this other team go and watch or spend hours writing posts defending them?

If my house got burgled id more bothered than if it was bills down the road, doesn't mean I am going to start making excuses for the burglars and justifying it just because it wasn't my house?

Very few people have defended the move.

There is a difference between defending the move, and just saying that they have done it in the right way.

IMO moving a sports club out of its home town is wrong, but, from a CCFC point of view, Wasps have done everything the right way.

I live in the hallowed land 400 yards from the Oval. I can't see any move to Bermuda damaging the Greenbacks. In fact it will probably increase the interest.

I'm not sure I'm looking forward to non-league derbies. I remember

a crowd of 4500 against the Boro. The Sky Blues will be playing in front of those numbers and will probably be playing in the same league if they move to Bermuda. Why on earth would Skyblues supporters tolerate this? Surely The Sphinx or Coventry U****** would be better options under those circumstances?

The Ricoh was Coventry City. Butts Park Arena is about the right size now. Swap with Coventry Rugby Club?

The new venue would be even closer than the Ricoh for me. I will go.......But not as a season ticket holder and possibly as a neutral. I've had enough of SISU fc. This has been going on for far too long now. Enough. Low league mediocrity is a more honest game.(But not for me as a Sky Blues supporter) or the bullshit end of football they call the Premiership. It all stinks at the moment. Crap owners, crap stadium in the offing, disgusting treatment of supporters, a fanbase decimated by years of failure.....

Not saying it is right, just saying there appears to be a massive degree of distrust with Sisu and both ACL and the council have said so much. I don't think it was spite, just that they couldn't trust them.

Trusting Wasps? Well, that's a different keetle of fish. Do we know much of them and whether or not then can be trusted? Time will tell I guess.

At no point have I suggested it was right to trust them.

Have you never gone to a game as a neutral? If you were in Manchester for the weekend and had a chance to go to Old Trafford are you saying you wouldn't go?

That's all the people going to Wasps are doing. We now have a top European rugby team playing on our doorstep. If your a rugby fan you would have to be mad to not be at least tempted to go.

Doesn't mean they are supporting Wasps, just that they want to see the game.
