This maybe true ! but their new owner will pull the money in and watch them go up the table - this is why i would have preferred Wycombe however it is what it is and we will have to suffer them banging on about Jimmy Hill again which has been irrelevant for a number of yearsNo I think a lot on here call clubs like Bournemouth tin pot. Don’t think I have
But given a choice you’d want surely a Sunderland than a Wycombe - the main difference this season has been the atmosphere generating partly by big away followings - was there anything more depressing than games against FGR and Bury when two men and a dog turned up?
You have a fair point, but I think most people think Wycombe are more likely to be 6 points, but our recent record against Sunderland shows they too could be a 6 points in the forthcoming seasonNo I think a lot on here call clubs like Bournemouth tin pot. Don’t think I have

League 2 was depressing because it was crap all round. In this league we’ll get good home crowds regardless of who we’re playing. What I don’t like is seeing 4-5000 away fans celebrating at our expense.

Small-time attitude imo... Especially considering the mentality and quality of our team nowadays! Nothing better than sitting down a big noisy away end of a club with 10x our budget who were giving it the biggun 2 minutes ago.
If we do one day get back to the Prem I want us to earn it by through our team and fanbase outperforming other big clubs who want to get there, not by beating clubs that see the championship as the big time.
It's a tricky one; it's fine having 4-5,000 away fans (assuming behaviour is ok) if we win/draw/play ok, but as you say, it's galling if you lose in those circumstances. Financially it's a no brainer, as if it's a Leeds or Sunderland, there will also be a bigger home turnout and probably 6k to 4k higher attendance than versus Wycombe and Burnley respectively. That said the policing bill will probably quadruple for those 2 games,
Nah the thing that sets football apart is tribalism. One week there’s thousands of west brom Fans giving it large if they score against you and then if you get a last minute winner against Leeds you give it them.
Atmosphere makes football unique
I guess what I’m saying is I want it packed with more home fans and less away. 2 or 3000 is still a decent number but you don’t give up all the stand in the process. No evidence of course but I reckon it gives the away side a huge boost shooting towards that
Thats a good point don’t remember many goals down the end I sit atThink last season we scored most of our goals down that end possibly because of singers corner.

Yes and when we play them they cut the allocation.Which at Highfield Road was great when they were given half a stand by the side of the pitch. At CBS we give them a whole stand behind the goal. Just not for me
I don’t think they have invented Trainers in Sunderland
Not so sure about that for the majority of their fansThere fans are just knobs and sound entitled
Give them 1500 tickets like they did against us.
Most of them are, Ive met some sound down to earth ones but mainly my experience has been entitled fans, but Manchester United fans make me cringeNot so sure about that for the majority of their fans
Most are just like us
Liverpool and Manure have the most entitled fans in my experience
Bloody insufferable
They only did that because the police forced them to due to the trouble the year before if I remember correctlyGive them 1500 tickets like they did against us.
Hill wasn’t found guilty of match fixing? Which match did he fix?Still 89 top flight seasons
It is worth remembering ccfc were found guilty of match fixing - well Hill was

Of course they will, I’d give Sunderland, Leeds or anyone else the same amount of away tickets they give us.Should be the same down here then. Or more likely will they choose revenue over safety?

I agree for some reason the rivalry has snowballed. We need to play villa again to restore some perspective!!They must be a pretty big club to have the equivalent of a CCFC match thread on the CCFC forum.
