You're doing you're best to fuel it.
Talk about shouty
Give it a rest and go watch some catch up TV.
I'm not fuelling anything towards people who go every game.

Why don't people pipe up then when people get ridiculed for going to games, but it's not allowed to turn the tables when the people who brag about their morals suddenly drop them?

Its people like those at swansea away in this cup that I'd class as super fans, no matter what their political views are on it all fair play to them. That's not to say people who can't get to every game aren't proper fans, but let's not pretend that people pretending to not go because of sisu but scrambling for a ticket now are some sort of martyrs.

If people want to break their own vows and go against their principles they keep pushing on people it's up to them, they can't moan when it gets pointed out to them.

Imagine if I posted something about wasps and people who went and then was posting about how can I get a ticket for a big game they are in or something like that? I'd fully expect a hammering.

The team can do with fans behind them at every game, look at wycombe and even the decent atmosphere at gillingham.

Fans will go when they want and when they're ready.
The best thing you can do is let them find their way.

I have no problem with any lapsed fan or whatever going. I do have a problem with those who have attacked me and others - including our kids - for lacking morals, supporting sisu, helping to destroy the club, etc suddenly forgetting that and wanting to get their hands on a Wembley ticket. Hypocritical cunts.

I have a season ticket, go to a fair few away games and I have never read anything on here where I felt someone on here was having a go at me for supporting my club. I've got no problem with any City fan going to support the team at Wembley. The more the merrier as far as I am concerned.

Just because you've not read it doesn't mean it hasn't happened. It has, plenty of times.

I'm sure their principles and morals will kick back in from April 3rd.

I'm very much in the lapsed fan category. Went to my first City game in 1992 (a dire 2-0 defeat to Wimbledon), former season ticket holder, but have only been to a handful of games in recent years for several reasons (working away, money etc) - but I am going to Wembley. I do feel a little bit guilty to have bagged a ticket before some of those who have been to many, many more games than me in the last few years. But even I had to shake my head seeing some of the comments from hardline members of the NOPM camp who have abused fellow fans, called those going to Northampton scabs etc who have now booked their Wembley tickets - but still maintain the NOPM attitude, saying they won't buy any official scarves or anything like that for the Final as they don't want to give SISU any money. As if going to Sixfields is a heinous crime and bankrolling SISU, but going to Wembley is completely different.

Hopefully there will be enough tickets for everyone who wants one, and fingers crossed Wembley will reignite some of the passion in our lapsed support (myself included) and the NOPM lot and we can add some of those at Wembley onto our regular home support.

Edit: I realise that it is a very small minority of the NOPM camp that abused fellow fans etc. Don't want to tar everyone with the same brush!

Have you missed the people this is aimed at trying to spoil every game so far this season? Have you missed the people on their moral high horse about NOPM and crap like that and are suddenly going against it?

Why is it only now a good feeling can occur naturally? Why can't it be at every other game now the team needs the fans behind them?

I'm not just on about 4 years ago, I am more on about through this season.

I'm not on about people who have just lost interest, people on here have openly said they just got fed up of going etc. They haven't been on here preaching about morals, saying how they have brought their kids up to know right and wrong (implying other people haven't brought their kids up properly) and are now scurrying around and whinging they can't get tickets.

Let's just hope after Wembley people drop their moral high horse (if they have been) and just get on with supporting Coventry City (not SISU). Until of course it is all about boycotting season tickets to starve SISU out and I point out their hypocrisy again after I have had digs because I have had season tickets...

You seem to be taking the moral high ground yourself!

I am just using people's past words against them, strange how the fan unity only seems to come out when I point these things out and not when people get abuse and digs for going to a game with their season ticket etc.

If I came on here banging on about my principles and morals about something and how i would never budge and then I dropped them all, I'd fully expect to get shit for it. If I am on here telling people they should go to games and not support the team and then went full NOPM would people not point it out?

You carry on I've tried to give my best advice.
I'm off to bed
Make it a sticky topic, but stop dragging it into every thread and on a daily basis.
All this shit happened.
When it happens again bring it back up.

I only mention it when people like Peeler and their strong morals pipe up. Why is it so bad when their quotes get brought up but no issue with the actual quotes?

I don't even read him, wum.!

Sadly, there are a fair few like it and even more worrying they seem to be real people!

Let's hope that the unity does stay after a day out at Wembley and people will start getting behind the team a bit more though! It is getting behind the team that makes the fans most united anyway.

To be fair I don't see loads of posts on here from people slagging off or having a go at those who attend.
If someone posts that they personally won't attend till SISU go. That isn't the same as them having a go at those who do.

I think most genuine city fans will be happy that city are at Wembley again and accept that season ticket holders have the chance to get additional tickets for their children, parents etc

Conversely I think most the genuine city Season ticket holders willbe happy to distribute any spare allocations they might have to genuine city fans who have fallen out of love in recent years, who have attended a few matches this season but not commuted to a full season ticket and now want to get to the final.

The rest of the can Try for what's left. But if you were that close , then you'd either have a season ticket or know someone that did.

Again , sorry if that seems harsh but, that's the only way I see it

Come on now kid, but Nick has never said or insinuated you're not a fan, he has challenged the credibility of your opinions at times, based on the fact you have only attended a few games this season so are reliant on watching highlights etc

What about the negativity to every other game and people who do go through thick and thin?

How long until the supporting sisu and lining their pockets line is back out in the middle of a relegation fight?
You bang on about supporting the club and being all positive but you seem to be the most negative person on here. Let people enjoy their day in the sunshine for once

I don't think anyone would mind if you mentioned it once or twice. But you drone on and on and on and on about it interminably.

Just like you drone on and on and on and on about whether money paid to the club stays in the club (rather than some of it going to SISU).

We get your point and I'm sure many would agree with you on certain issues. But it's rather boring reading exactly the same post from you over and over again. Enough already.

Although I agree with nick, there has been a lot of abuse not so much on this site as I think this is for mainly people who want to talk about football (or try too at least!) but the telegraph FB pages are rife with those types of idiots. Best thing is to ignore them, you haven't changed your stance or beliefs nick but they have been easily tempted away from theirs. Proves NOPM was a farce

I was directed to the telegraph comments section, on here once either by Grendel or Nick,I honestly can't recall which.
I had one look it was quite clearly a bunch of people massively winding each other up.
I mean ridiculously compared to here. I discounted it as that and never gone back.
We shouldn't get the backlash on here from crap written on there.
If that is where all these comments of people abusing other people for going to matches are located, then leave it there to reply.
In there this backlash might make more sense to most people than it does here. Where you might get the odd person making such a comment in here, but they are in the minority.
Most I have seen just express their own opinion that they are not going and why.

Hi

I cannot understand the constant whinging on this forum about glory hunting supporters or irregular supporters etc.

Let's face it people on here are moaning because 40,000 are hoping to go to Wembley and these same people would be moaning if only 8000 people were going,in fact they would be shouting "Come on you lot get down to Wembley & support the City"

The situation cannot win, people on here would be complaining if you are going and complaining if you are not.

Regards.

no you come on kid. i have not ever posted analysis of games i have not been too. so none of you have a leg to stand on with that one. i am allowed to be upset at losing runs even if not gone.

hypocritical as well because you will find him liking hill83 posts when he says im not going cos i dont want too.

Again, why aren't the quotes I keep bringing up that have been droning on and on not been classed as boring or any mention of them?

It may well be boring, but I've been saying people give their money to CCFC (not SISU) like you point out all season. Why is it suddenly different and the same people who have been telling me otherwise now want to scramble to hand their money over to "SISU"?

Somebody else who has posted about how people will be funding SISU etc. You were saying fans who buy season tickets are part of the problem weren't you?

I didn't think you would be going, as if you are giving money to CCFC you are surely part of the problem?

Probably look a bit harder then. I am quoting from on here, have a look at the last one for example where people who buy season tickets or give "sisu" money are part of the problem.

I have no issue with people having their own opinion, it is when people are pushing their morals onto others and going against them for a change. No different to the whole "moving clubs is wrong", "ohhh, wasps are here" rubbish which people seem to get upset about being pointed out.

How about the next time somebody is giving it the big one about their morals / principles / how they were brought up / bring their kids up properly / how people who go to games are supporting sisu / how people who go to games are part of the problem etc etc makes a comment that you get in there and tell them to shut up?
