Kinell..

BNC was the only player that bothered to show up in the first half of the playoff final

Forget the final, what about the other 23 games.

0 assists, 0 goals, his final ball wasn’t the best. There’s better options out there for us to go for personally.

He frustrated me at times, gave the ball away quite often

Buzzing to start the season with Bidwell playing LCB against Jamie Vardy, Harvey Barnes and Patson Daka
Is Vardy the man who helped Leicester last season? Maybe he’ll wake up again? His performances on the pitch may improve of course.

Yeah so should we not go and find someone who’s more proven and polished, who’s gunna firm up our defence

I don’t think so, the more games he gets, the better he’ll become. Doyle was only 19 as well. Age means nothing. Wayne Rooney proved that on and off the pitch!

A classic way of using stats to shape an argument incorrectly.

Yes 0 goals and 0 assists. But who is he supposed to assist? Godden was too slow to keep up with the play and vik was spending 85% of his time on the wing cutting in. Allen was injured so not driving into the box.

I'd imagine Ryan Giles would have got next to 0 in ours as well because we don't play with big lads up top and pinging in crosses isn't our game.

He's raw, he's 19, he's won a medal for eng under 20, he's played a whole season at league 1 and now championship in a relegation threatened team and a promotion chasing team and let's be honest, we've got no chance of signing him perm. Compare his career and appearances at 19 to that of Jack Burroughs who is now 22 and the argument that bnc isn't worth a chance is absolutely mental

Yeah it’s the Atalanta approach, makes sense if they sell that Danish fella

Yup just saw Atalanta waiting on sale of Rasmus Hojlund for €40m and have identified Vik as the man they want to replace him.

Could get interesting now. Serie A must be tempting for Vik. They finished 5th and qualified for European competition again.

Plus his girlfriend plays for Juventus.

This is exactly what I didn’t want: a long drawn out saga that means we can’t build a squad until the last minute.

‘apparently’ the rumours of Robins and King having a fallout is over the Vik situation. Robins believes we owe Vik this opportunity and isn’t happy about our stance on 20 mill.

this all started after the cwr interview the other week

That'll make a few heads on here spin if true.

Millwall rival Coventry for McNally
By Alan Nixon

Burnley centre half Luke McNally is wanted by ambitious Millwall and could be sent back to the Championship.

Clarets will let Irishman McNally go out on loan after a successful spell at Coventry and the Lions plan to snap him up.

McNally may be prepared to move again for first team football just anyway after joining as one of Vincent Kompany’s first signings.

The interest could also be used as part of a deal for Millwall forward Zian Flemming. Burnley have already made bids and throwing McNally in may help.

Coventry also want McNally back for a second season but that is not favoured by Burnley.

Interesting stuff
Always loved managers that can see the benefit in giving opportunity rather than standing in the way of people progressing. In my business it always comes back to the supportive manager ten times over

I’d be gobsmacked if that is true.

This is the first time in 20 years that Coventry can sell a player for over £10m and the second time in the clubs history. King must rinse it for every £ he can get.

Hmmm I don't see the two divorced from each other we can owe him the opportunity at a decent price I'd have thought Robins would be the first to advocate that.

Vik was very close to leaving in Jan but robins convinced him to stay till end of season

2 ways to look at this. longer it drags out the knock on effect it has on us but we want 20 mill.

They are not the same.

A manager can support a player moving on as long as his value to the club is met … After-all it’s the manager that wants the club to improve the playing budget to help him improve the squad.

more to do with the cwr interview but the stance isn’t helping either as I imagine we are waiting on the sale to bring in players.

Doesn’t sound like McNally will be coming back.

Tbf if we end up getting more spending money then I'm all for it. Dragging it out could also hand Vik more options and ultimately a preferable move for him too. Hopefully works out for all.

Don’t think a bidding war is likely.

Vik doesn’t want a prem move so counts that out (he doesn’t want to be on the bench) foreign teams negotiate differently. I.e this has been ongoing for 3 weeks now.

Are we sure he doesn't or is it just a prem team hasn't matched our valuation and courted him yet...

difference is a squad size and pre season starting tomorrow.

we need 8 players minimum. robins is also an advocate of a good pre season with players settling in.

Which I get. We will probably make 4/5 perm signings this month and then Prem loan players don’t come in till they finish pre season with their clubs in august.

it’s all about targets.

the longer Vik saga continues the likelihood our targets go somewhere else.
