Only Stalinism and Maoism isn't communism as Engels and Marx wrote about it. Orwell wrote some good pieces on this subject.

Also I don't believe going around making fascist salutes is keeping anything private and it will always be my concern if there is a fascist at CCFC.

Well said, Constance. My only thought is that he may make the trains run on time once we get a station

I haven't read the whole thread but I did point out last week that the relationship between Leon Clarke and Di Canio makes this a no-go without considering all the other factors.

If we look at his managerial career, would anyone know he was a fascist if it weren't for his playing career?

It doesn't matter if he was Pele, he's fascist scum. Don't want him at our club. Plus he does goose-step around the dugout..

I doubt Leon is that big a deal.

We know he is a fascist because he openly admits it. In addition he is a nutter with the ego of a planet and the patience of a dust particle. He's bobby Gould in jackboots.

Count me out.

If he was to become manager, I won't be singing any songs with his name in.

I would say that he is in the top 5 min maybe a top 3 best manager in L1.

No disrespect to Carsley, but, we have something to play for, we can still win the league for crying outloud (!) though it's unlikely. We don't really have one point to spare! With the memories of Thorn still fresh, I'd rather us not go down that route.

The planets must all be aligned, we're on the same side for once!

You have to draw the line at some things when it comes to sacrificing morals for success. Hey, I thought you said you were a Socialist on here once? Didn't realise you meant National Socialist! Joking-I know/hope you aren't a Nazi really ;)

George Orwell (thank God he changed his name from Blair :p) understood that Communism was at best theoretical, in practice it was just fascism with a different label.
He fought for the left in Spain but saw at first hand atrocities on both sides.
Orwell, unlike the vast majority of writers, knew what he was talking about.
He'd have no time for Di Canio.

Don't get it confused, I'm a socialist, and anti-fascist, anti-racist and anti-authority, that's completely the opposite of fascism and nazism.

I do remember many, many Swindon fans being disgusted, with Di Canio's appointment, I doubt they are now, I bet they're happy they got promoted from L2 and could still get promoted to the Championship. As long as he doesn't mix his politics with our club, his appointment will be somewhat of an acquiescence to me.

The issue of morals and sport is an interesting one.
For me Di Canio is tainted by his salute because he hasn't publicly acknowledged that it was stupid or that he renounces any form of fascistic association.
That is black and white, however, in the case of Marlon KIng who has served a punishment I believe it is beholden on society to rehabilitate. To forgive and move on.
I know many disagree with me on this.

I agree with you.

Let's get real he's left Swindon because they sold a player due to their dire financial situation. We are one step from bankruptcy ( if that far) and couldn't compete with Millwall when they signed Dion Dublin and more recently Northampton Town when they signed Clive Platt. and wander should be wonder ..unless of course you're a closet wolves fan

When did Dion Dublin play for Millwall?

ok let's ignore he chose Millwall over City for money let's pretend he went there and then felt guilty that he turned down the sky blues so handed back his wages and left the club

If it's on loan money has nothing to do with it. He was under contract at villa. Millwall may not have contributed anything to his wages. We don't know any of the facts, so the point you were making, whilst valid overall, doesn't work with 'Dublin went to Millwall' in it.

So you think Leon Clark is paid less than Clive platt?

hill83 the valid point overall is di canio won't be coming here because we have no money- to believe that Millwall got him on loan without contributing to his wages or giving him any money... well you might as well believe in father christmas.but forgive me I hadn't realised you had been appointed to make judgements in regard to which points on this site work and which don't... i thought it was just a site for people to express opinions in a world where usually they just get ignored . anyway i know it is the school holidays but havent you got some homework you could be doing

grendel no you are suggesting that with your rhetorical question. I'm saying that Millwall were able to offer more to Dion and/or the Villa than we could - that's why they signed him

With the lack of capitalisation in any of your posts, I'd suggest you went back to school yourself to study English language and grammar in a bit more depth.

You said we couldn't afford platt - untrue he was offered a deal for 1 year.

Oh dear. The old school holidays jibe. Good one.

You clearly don't know how loans work.
I also don't think Di Canio will be coming here due to our lack of funds.

And as for expressing opinions, they need to be based on facts in the main.

hill83 the valid point overall is di canio won't be coming here because we have no money (We have invested in 12 players this year, how can we do that without money?) to believe that Millwall got him on loan without contributing to his wages or giving him any money... well you might as well believe in father christmas (What?! Father Christmas isn't real, next you will tell me Sky Blue Sam isn't real and I will have no choice but to end all!).but forgive me I hadn't realised you had been appointed to make judgements in regard to which points on this site work and which don't...(No but I respect Hill83's opinion even if he does have a picture of Dion!) i thought it was just a site for people to express opinions in a world where usually they just get ignored (Only if you don't have a creditable opinion or just like to insult people). anyway i know it is the school holidays but havent you got some homework you could be doing (This would explain your theory to why opinions get ignored, also come back to the forum once you have gone through the pubity stage, your still a junior on this forum how dare you talk so low of a CCFC Manager! This man's profile will soon to change too God Status!!!)

I couldn't care less about DiCanio's political beliefs. I thought we in this country lived in a democracy where we are free to support whichever political party we like? I guess this is true as long as you pick the right party. Democracy eh?

Realist.
