I thought it would be good to see how many City fans are out there that don't live in Cov, either moved for work or perhaps family reasons or whatever. Where do you now live? Have you always lived there and just support Cov coz you like them? Or are you a die-hard City fan anyway - born and bred?
Personally, I now live on the Isle of Wight. I retired through ill health (survived 3 serious heart attacks and also diabetic!) My missus has also now retired so we decided why retire and stay in Tile Hill? Why not retire and live by the sea? So we upped and moved and haven't looked back.
I know there are LOADS of fans out there who live away - not just in the UK either - so come on! Tell us where you are and a little bit about yourself. Let's make this particular thread one for the "away" fans!!

I live in London near (kings cross) have done all my life. I go to as many home games as I can and try to go to all the London away games. My dad is from cov, granparents live there still and so do and so do aunt uncle and cousins. when I was younger I used to support arsenal being the local club but at about Age 10 I became a covenetry fan and have never looked back. can't say I have seen the great times for Coventry being in the championship when I started supporting them, inspite of that I will never stop supporting the club and I hope for more prosperous times in the future howeve bad it looks currently.

I live on the outskirts of Peterborough and am a season ticket holder - Block 20. Only just come back from working and living in the Middle East (Bahrain) so this season was my first time at the Ricoh although have been to Highfield Road plenty of times. From Worcester originally and my dad was stationed at the Cov Recruiting Office when I was younger, hence the link. Been a SB all my life, and will be until I die.

I'm from Birmingham, living north of the city when not at uni and south of the city when at uni .

First started supporting City when I was 10, thanks to a certain wonder goal from Mr. Huckerby, D. (I knew his cousin. True story). I've never been able to stomach the Villa, and the Blues, Albion, Wolves etc were too bad at the time to consider. Also, I was born in late '87, which was nice- my mum remembers watching the parade with the FA Cup trophy from the bedroom window (I lived in Cov 'til I was three/four)...

Currently a season ticket holder, in Block 15, been to a few away games this season as well...you can imagine how happy I was by Saturday's result, lol.

For the last 2.5 years i have lived in Lincoln, started my own business. Was in London ffrom 97 before that. Coventry kid grew up in Cheylesmore. So i have seen some good, and lots of bad.....But that is what being a Cov fan is about, sod the glory hunters!!

Coventry lad born and Bred always supported them as long as i can remember, brought up in stivichall moved away with family in 2006 to Harrogate near Leeds, get to as many games as possible but travel and ticket prices it just costs far too much for me to do it every week!! But i will be there on Sat cheering the lads on.

I have never lived in Coventry, but my Dad grew up there so he inflicted this upon me. I used to live in Essex but now I live in SE London/Kent. Getting to games is not easy but I go to all the London and East Anglia games. PUSB

almost a similar story, i live in northampton, but my dad comes from Coventry and i've been Sky Blue since i can remember... i remember my first school project in the 90's was to do with CCFC's history and our up's and downs... Since the recession i haven't been able to make many games, but planning a couple more visits before the end of the season

Born and raised in Coventry, but moved to London for university when i was 18. I'm now 21 in my final year of uni and live in Fulham. I used to just go to the odd game, but this year when the 'half season ticket' deal came up i decided to go for it, so now i travel up to Cov for all the home games.

I've been living in Turin, Italy for over 2 years now. I was born and bred in the city and though I can't remember which year it was, my first game was when the west terrace was still a terrace. I had season tickets until I left for uni in 2001 and then again in 2007/08 and 2008/09 (this second one I gave to my sister after leaving for Turin in November 08). I try to organise my trips back around home games to see them 2 or 3 times but I've only managed to see them once this year (2-1 win over derby). Don't know if I'll get another chance this season, but if they made the play offs I'd book tickets for the chance of being at Wembley no matter what!

I was born in Coventry but moved to Cornwall when I was very young. With all of my family coming and still coming from Coventry, I became a Coventry fan when I was 4 - and I have never looked back.

Growing up as a Coventry fan in Cornwall (amongst Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal fans) was not easy, let me tell you. Although, through the years this has only made me more passionate and hardened!
I travelled up to Coventry in every single half term and went to a Cov game, my first being a 2 v 1 home defeat to Crystal Palace in 1989.

At 18 I decided to go to University in Coventry, genuinely, just so I could get a season ticket for 3 years - a dream come true!

I then lived in Coventry after uni (2002 to 2005), the last few years of Highfield Rd in which time I used to go to games on my own, and loved every single minute of every game.

In 2005 I moved to Manchester with work and to start a life with my now wife.
I still play a reasonably high standard of football in Lancashire so I can't always attend games although I go to as many as possible - and I still get that excited feeling that I got as a kid after travelling all the way up from Cornwall.

I have had a lot of good times following the Sky Blues, but mostly have had disappointments - but they are and always will be my city, our city and I love them and all of their fans.

I moved to Florida in 2001.... I got divorced and made redundant, and Coventry got relagated all within about 6 months of each other.....I figured time to move to greener pastures....................:wave:

I was born in Coventry but moved to Glasgow when the parents split when i was 16, now i'm at university in Edinburgh. Used to go to the games regularly with my dad when i lived there, never had a season ticket as he works for the club and used to get a complimentary ticket for each game, would have been a man utd fan like my brothers had it not been for that! Used to pay to sit with pals when i got a bit older, the free tickets were always in the fancy area so wasn't much fun, though i did get to go in to the dressing room as a wee lad before and after games, remember seeing Strachan going absolutely off his nut at the lads once, don't remember who against. Try to get to a game or two each year but it's expensive, only been to 8-10 since the move to the Ricoh unfortunately, sounds terrible when i think about it! .

im from radford was a season ticket holder, cov through and through miss the old hood but been living in jersey now for 6 years and loving it
still get to a few games a year but am 35 now and gonna retire soon,so will fly from jersey most weeks for the games and cannot fuckin wait,might even renew my season ticket.

I lived in Telford many years ago (about 1976). I was only there for about a year, living on the Woodside estate. I used to enjoy walking into Ironbridge at the week-ends.

I couldn't get much further from Coventry if I tried. I now live in New Zealand. I moved here in 2004 and lived in Christchurch until last year when I moved up to the North Island. Married a New Zealand girl and have a couple of daughters and a step-daughter.

I am Coventry born and bred and supported Coventry for as long as I can remember, although my first memory is watching the Police escorting the Villa fans up Gulson road past our house (I was probably 3 or 4 at the time). My Dad is a Stoke fan as he is from that area and never really took me to matches, the odd one or two when I was small.

As you will appreciate I don't get to games at the moment so my following of Cov is through post match reports, which never really tell you how City played only the opposition !?! I am bringing the family over to England to visit at Christmas, so will be going to at least one match over that period and hopefully bring at least one of my kids.

Can't see us going down simply because the teams below us are so poor but if one of them goes on a run and we stick to are losing streak Swindon and Bristol Rovers here we come.

I moved to a village (Rayne) just outside Braintree 14 years ago, with a promise to my wife of no more season tickets. 14 years later, now have a PSL and two kids with season tickets. It is increasingly hard to to come up to games with the rise in fuel prices but one way or another we manage it week in/out.
