Mean while back in court (10 Viewers)

One thing we do know is that if SISU lose, they will appeal to some other court.

Hopefully a tennis court where they can bat it back and forth to their hearts content.

seriously no matter how good a mate he is get something in writing. It is in both your interests to do so. A simple letter written by you both and signed, witnessed, would do. I have a business partner, known him since I was 12, our two families are very close, would trust him with my life .............. but we have a partnership agreement anyway

Just seconding this. Seen too many people where it's gone wrong, and sometimes it's not because either side has done anything deliberately to harm the other orget one over them, just they remember and interpret things said and done slightly differently.

The fact she said the first contact was July the year they took over, but they were waiting wings with a document from 2012 is one.

Imagine if it was something proving tim Fisher wrong about a stadium....which is also common.

If he had said there was 5% chance there was going to be a stadium in Solihull, there would be fois, minutes from council meetings to try and disprove him.

Whereas ann Lucas and maton seem to get free reign on bullshit.

Just shows how a little knowledge starts a feeding frenzy.
The document in question was from March 2012 a full year before Richardson took over in March 2013.
Thats why Sisu bought up the date and CCC lawyer said that perhaps he over stated it.
The relevance was that CCC lawyer was trying to add value to ACL as additional evidence of the risk associated with the loan whilst Sisu were trying to reduce the value.

Richardson approached Rossborough in 2012 and some bloggers on the wasps site say that a deal was agreed for the Ricoh as a pre requisite to purchasing wasps.

Agreed. If the government are involved then the emotion will be removed from one side and hopefully someone will bring sense to this dispute to end this ongoing legal saga that benefits nobody (... at the moment).

They will only be involved if the judgement goes Sisu's way.

Justice Tomlinson asks again “who would be responsible for the remedy (central government or the council) and “how do we proceed from here if we come to a different conclusion to the judge below?”
Council QC now trying to clarify the situation, but without much success.
Judge Treacy asks: “Have you notified central government?”
“I don’t think so” is the answer.

So what little knowledge starts a feeding frenzy?

Ann Lucas said on the Radio they first got in contact in the July 2014 they took over. If the loan was made way before that, how can they use knowing that Wasps were waiting in the wings as an argument if they didnt get in touch for another couple of years?

Do you want me to send somebody over to now help you move the goalposts?

"Some bloggers"? Why didn't the SISU QC mention this in court? That's as good as a confession written in his own blood by Richardson. Especially if the was a picture of the Ricoh between two paragraphs. It's always true if there's a picture. It's facebook law so legally binding as well.

He said "perhaps in the wings was over stretching it"
Where do you want to set the bulletin boards goal posts so we can all get behind you ?

While obviously there's no proof, would make sense with the Cov RFC guy saying he had spoken to him even before he had taken over as well as documents from before had taken over with the CCC about it.

Yes, he meant the phrase "waiting in the wings" was stretching it. You forgot to mention the bit where he says "but certainly it had been mentioned". This is at the time they were evaluating the council loan, a fair bit before July 2014....

So, we have the council lawyer confirming and the Cov RFC President confirming discussions were had way in advance but Ann Lucas said it was July 2014. Somebody is telling porkies.

The Rossborough Richardson meeting was confirmed by Rossborough when he was interview on CWR so that definitely happened and happened before Richardson purchased Wasps.

You have to admit it all seems to indicate that before there were rent holidays, rent strikes and moves to Northampton CCC already seemed to have Wasps 'waiting in the wings'

Sorry can't find where the council were involved in that informal conversation in Jersey !!!
In April 2013 one of Richardson priorities was a new stadium preferably in West London.

Wind your neck in, the smoking gun has not been found.

I said nothing about a smoking gun, and that article was about him discussing the Ricoh and Wasps and Coventry before he even took them over.

The council were involved before then, as confirmed by their QC.

I am just pointing out that first contact in July 2014 was obviously a lie.

How do you know his priorities then? Why had he spoken to the President of Cov RFC before then?

So AL was aware of that informal conversation between 2 friends in Jersey ?

The Rosboro' comment was after Wasps took over and probably a throw away comment that was turned into a headline.

You would think AL would be aware of the discussion with the council that the council's own QC confirmed, or was she misinformed again?

I haven't suggested what AL would know about their conversation if she wasn't there, I posted that link because you tried to make out it wouldn't have happened because he hadn't taken over.

The bit where their own Lawyer said "but certainly it had been mentioned" about Wasps, at the time they did the loan, way before July 2014.

Im not saying it is a smoking gun, or it was illegal state aid. Just that obviously somebody is telling a porkie. For some reason you don't seem to be able to work that out?

The Jersey conversation wasn't with Richardson was it?

If that is fact, then Tim made a fool of himself by throwing the keys on the reception and heading off to Northampton. His whole rhetoric then played into the council's hands and justified the Wasps move. But, meetings and discussions are exactly that and not firm commitments. There were probably other meetings and discussions with other people elsewhere.

Just laughing at "some bloggers" being peddled as some sort of definitive proof.

I wonder when CCFC / SISU / Their lawyers actually found out about the document they say was from 2012. Again it is a PR thing isn't it? If Wasps had been in touch then, SISU should have tried to get that across to the public that it wasn't new etc.

(Unless of course they dont care what the public think, just the £££)

Another example is when Lucas and Seppalla were going to meet, Seppalla asked for it to be confidential and suddenly it is all over the press. Why not just show the letters that then came out after? Or is it too much bad form to leak stuff like that direct and need it to go to court to be revealed?

So was the Ricoh for sale then?

Shame Sisu weren't given that option when they brought the City

CCC were talking with Wasps in March 2012 (or earlier but that is a documented date).

Richardson met with Rossborough in late 2012, that was confirmed by Rossborough when interviewed by CWR.

Richardson took over Wasps March 2013 from his business associate David Thorne (having previously been involved with the club and having previously provided finance).

Eastwood appointed shortly after and club state they will be returning to their natural home in West London.

March 2013 negotiations between ACL and SISU collapse and ACL apply to put the club in administration.

Summer 2013 CCFC move to Northampton.

Timing all seems very coincidental :thinking about:

Not to mention the timing of CCFC coming back just as Wasps move in?

Weren't SISU shouting about them being "forced out" too?

The whole Returning to West London is very Fisherish.

Did anyone see the Government getting dragged into it coming.....

Still say if the judge decides in SISU's favour and asks the Government to Cov up millions. They will appeal it on the grounds the judge asked why they were not represented in one of his first questions. Then carried on regardless when he discovered that they hadn't been notified!!!

Surely you must agree they left in order to break the contract and apply more pressure?

Having conversations and a peek over the garden fence does not necessarilly mean there is any formal interest or any business is being done at that stage. So it depends what she meant by first contact. If that meant first formal approach about purchasing and getting a deal done it would not "obviously be
a lie" at all.

If I remember rightly, they were making statements that ACL were doing so well they didn't need the club ....

I remember it being something like "could survive without us" but that could just mean break even.

My gut feeling here is, despite there being plenty of shady stuff from CCC, is that this will go against Sisu.

It is clear the council wanted to fuck us, and yeah Sisu deserve it, but the fans deserve so much better from all sides.

I think it was all aimed at Sisu, we were collateral damage when caught in the crossfire.

Not sure it can be appealed for a 3rd time. Regardless of who is paying it is still SISU vs the State and the case is the same.

Moving away didn't break the lease - going bust did.
