Why would you read their boards aren't you a Sky Blues fan?
Yeah and you don't seem to have a problem with that which is worrying. Suppose the Sisu investors had been more willing to stomach the losses at Sixfields? We could have been there for many years and even one game is unacceptable to me. How many of our supporters were willing/able (financially or otherwise) to go to Sixfields? How many local fans did we lose when we 'moved' & how many do you think is acceptable to lose access to watching our team play?
How many Wasps supporters can't get to games owing to the distance from London and how many do you think is acceptable to lose access to watching their team play?
Sky Blues fan since 1967 and season ticket holder for most of that. Continuous now for over 20 years.
This may seem strange but you can actually support CCFC and Wasps.
I'm a Wasps season ticket holder.
Sixfields comments make me laugh.
Unlike Wasps we had our own stadium, we could have bought it (certainly 50%) and we could have influenced our own rent payments as well as take a percentage of incomes.
Some fans did travel and I guess some locals did attend but everybody knew it was never going to last so new roots would never be set.
Wasps fans have never had roots before, something they can sit back and think, this is now forever. Do I want to be part of this ?
I would say a lot of Wasps fans traveled distance anyway as a result of playing all over London. Some as Man U from wherever.
Some fans in this area can also make that decision. Do I want to be part of this ? After all it's for the long term. I'm one of these !!
A lot of Wasps fans were picked up and dropped on their travels, the latest being those from around Wycombe. Some may be long term Wasps fans some may be going because they are on their doorstep.
The pick up and drop of Wasps fans has now stopped and Wasps are now settled in both location and finances.
Something the majority of long term Wasps fans would favour after the past 3 years.
