I see their idiot fans were kicking off with the police today, any chance of a points deduction for them? Almost certainly wont happen but would be a good way of stopping this sort of crap.

Fully concur with this . I had the met punching me in the back of my head and , pulling my hair at white heart lane. mind , big Cyrille scored the winner 0-1 all ended well .
Disagree, something must have provoked the police.
Keep your nose clean and you'll be fine, that's what I say.
You're wrong then .

Really are you fucking stupid no matter what police or steward's don't start on people for nothing.
Perhaps some see it as a badge of honor to keep up the traditions of mindless violence.
If you have a history for it, some want that fearsome reputation to continue.
I dare say psychologists will have tons of evidence why this is the case.
Wanting to be top dogs, the most hated by the rest of your peers.
...and I dare say a few Millwall fans are just as bad
Since the 20s actually and two legs against them would be a nightmareBeen like that at Millwall since the 60s will never end, heaven forbid a two legged play off with them and an evening in New Cross, as for the Met. they love a ruck too

Remember when they played Birmingham in the play offs a good few years ago ? 2nd leg, post match, riot that filled the media for weeks after. Late Birmingham winning goal was the excuse apparently....
naive post of the decade
It's standard practice to be fair if I go to a football match and don't see a police officer walk into a peaceful unassuming crowd and punch someone for no reason, I am pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately that doesn't happen very often. Especially the Met they usually attack two people for good measure.
I can remember our fans firing flares into police horse riders backs, and overturned a police car down pork chop hill in my youth days as a supporter so we were pretty disgusting in the pasthaven't read or seen what happened today so cant comment , as for the met ,well was it not them driving round cov in plain transits in the 80s under the guise of the spg causing more grief than anyone. And was it not the met that came up to the miners strike and started most of the aggro
I think it's probably not common now but having known some one in the Met I could tell you some tales - one in particular that would ruin your optimism.
It's not only not common now it just doesn't hapoen now.
If any Bobby entered a crowd and attacked a person doing nothing. They would be all over social media before their third punch was thrown.
I know naughty things happened in the past. However it was very rarely happened to Ghandi (if you get my gist)
It does still happen. Some of them are still on a power trip. But it happens much less because of CCTV. The last time it happened to me was against Bristol City. Two police officers started on a couple of our younger supporters. I stepped into it and they went to arrest me. After a little debate they let me go. Saw another one but can't remember where it was about the same time.
It is worse on away days. But we have had the occasional problem in our own ground when banners were taken in.
It doesn't mean something doesn't happen because you don't see it.
Exactly my previous post was pointing out ccfc fans were as bad in the past, never any need for thug behaviorIt's a game of football for fuck's sake.

Todays police yes Dongo yet 40/50 years ago policing was not so pcThey didn't lay into you.
For a Police Officer to arrest someone it's a pain in the arse these days. The amount of paperwork they will give you more lives than a cat.
If a Police officer uses a certain level of firce on you then diesnt arrest you. Then questions would be asked.
