I always want the best for the City, so hopefully Anderson can negotiate something positive. No-one is expecting him to be successful on all 17 points surely?

No he won't get what he wants on all 17 but that's the point of a negotiation. Give and take.
Should have been that way from the start, bully and bash doesn't work.
FairPlay onwards and upwards.

An evening with TM would have made more sense at the Ricoh for example. They could run a few of them a year involving the ex players association. The clubs owners have links with AEG, why couldn't they get them involved with attracting events to the Ricoh as a three way partnership with Wasps? There's always more than one way to skin a cat.
Yeah and they could sell rotten tomatoes on the door, well unless we win the next couple.

Yep. I don't think anyone is seriously expecting CA to achieve everything including I would imagine CA himself but like you say that's what negotiation's are about.

We live in hope thought. Well most of us do. There's clearly a couple on here who don't.

Sounds promising to me but a lot of hard work and time to pass first.

I don't see why we can't start these negotiations as earlier the better conclusions would be better for everyone.

We have never had to own our own stadium but have a deal that works for us in our situation.

This will be interesting....

Here's a thought. You can resurrect your mocking "all you have to do is ask wasps and you'll get" catchphrase that you started when many of us were suggesting that we should approach our landlords about a retail kiosk inside the Ricoh for a shop so we can ditch the embarrassing Sunday car boot sale pasting tables.

How did that turn out again? Were you right in the end?

It really depends what the club wants, and what Wasps will let them have.

I am sure they know they wont get all 17 or 18 concessions that they want, and they will surely have a level that they want to achieve for the club to be viable, and that is acceptable to Wasps. I am not Wasps greatest fan but if they can help CCFC and an agreement can be made that is beneficial then why not.

No idea, what exactly has been agreed?

The posters who are saying we will achieve nothing by this and that wasps
will send us packing. I don't believe for a second that he hasn't already
had talks and sought assurances that they are willing to sit down and
have serious negotiations. After all the more successful we are the better
it is for them isn't it.
We now know the real reason he was bought in.

Shows that you never go. We now have a retail kiosk in the ground. Some one must have asked. Unless we're squatting.

I was referring to the latest ccfc demands. I want whatever is best for the club personally, as long as that doesn't involve being owned by the franchise. I'm just not convinced anything will come of it; after all of the recent pr, who knows what is going on.

It doesn't show he doesn't go at all.

Its ironic that you didn't like it when people took the piss out of you and said you never went when you got a players identity wrong, but yet you are straight in to accuse Sick Boy of that same thing. Glass houses and stones.

You're allowed to be pessimistic. I'm not expecting CA to get everything he wants just hoping he can get most of what he wants. Just try not to be smug and say I told you so if nothing come's of it. I'm sure you'll think you're being clever but actually you'll just come of as a prick.

is there anyone at all, on this forum or elsewhere, that has ever seriously believed that ccfc were going to build a new stadium? I don't know anyone who believed it 2-3 years ago, and following all the lies about sites and deadlines surely even the most rabid sisu apologist hasn't believed it in more recent times.

I do wonder though - did that garlick woman ever believe it was likely to be built? Or did she fall for a con-trick, or - more likely - did they just pay her to front the nonsense?

It was player (single not plural). Also I was very very drunk and it was very very late.

What can I say. What goes around comes around.

Fair enough. I was talking about the singular not the plural, just didn't put in the apostrophe thingy.

I try to forget I support the club when I am drunk, or is it supporting the club that makes me get drunk? One of them anyway.;)

This was a rarity. We went to the match, we won and it was someone's birthday so we went on the pop after, started in the casino and one of my mates was on a winning streak and came out £120 up so we went to earlsdon for a few then got the train back to Rugby and carried on. It was a good day.

Well we will see. If CCFC do want to be involved and their advances are spurned some posters really will have to show where their true loyalties lie.

Won't they?
True loyalties fuckin great coming from you

Someone should tell Fisher, I bet he'll feel really silly all that effort he's put in. I mean, I think he must be about finished building it by now?

Just why is Fisher still with this club he has lied on record time and time again ??????

Potential good news

Adding another 20-30 million to the current debt in order to build a new 12-15 k stadium is no longer option number one. I appreciate you may have never believed it was. However as things stood that was the stated position.

The stated position now is that we can survive without owning our own ground depending on a good deal.

Bad News

The good deal involves sorting out 20 areas of negotiation

Good news

The negotiation is between CA who desperately needs a result and Wasps who probably need a result. They also have no bad history

Bad News

CA represents SISU who maybe dragging Wasps into a judicial review with JR2. ( let's hope that doesn't feature as s negotiating tactic from either side)

With regards to naming rights (assuming that they're still available) there's nothing stopping the club going out and finding a sponsor, set up a deal and then take a finders fee/commission for setting a deal up.
AKA Brian Richardson / Ricoh Arena

I think I must be reading a different article to everyone else. People seem to be taking it as confirmation of a long term deal at the Ricoh. Doesn't read like that to me. Reads that a long term deal, on the right terms, is an option.

Thats no different to what he said the day he got here.

Not getting what everyone is getting so excited about, nowhere does it say the option of a new stadium has been ditched. What are others seeing that I'm not?

The new news is that we 'can' survive and be successful at the Ricoh.

That's how i read it. Not sure why everyone's getting so excited, CA has already been shown to bend the truth somewhat. just like the new stadium guff, i see this latest statement as nothing other than spin. He tells us nothing we don't already know.

I think you must be reading a different thread. Nobody is taking it as confirmation of anything. Rather just applauding the change in direction. Nobody has said CA will achieve everything he's asking for. Just the opposite, people are saying that's unlikely and quick to point out that that is what negotiations are about.
