Times like that you need an old head to step up. Why did no one challenge Murphy over him collecting the ball? I know we've argued previously that you should have a designated taker before the game, but would we have really put him up for it? And even if we have if we can see how bad a game he's having why can't the players?

A free shot from 12 yards should tell you how much he is not looking likely. Fortune should have taken that every day of the week.

He has had the best two chances and hit weak shots. They were both laid on a plate to him.

Surely Joe Cole should have stepped up.

Murphy has fluffed so many opportunities of late. Can't see he could have been that confident stepping up for that kick.
