Indeed it doesn't. At least not in the short term. But what about longer term? Wasps could whack the rent up and more seasons in L1 or promotions and relegations between L1 and Championship could lead to a slowly declining average attendance. With our reliance on ticketing revenues how long before that leads to us struggling to compete in L1?

Whatever the recent off-field history of the Club and the parts played by all parties, that's what it is - history. It's happene. Given where we are are, right now, today with seemingly ongoing litigation, I believe that only a Sisu win in court would bring any possible benefits to CCFC the football club.
For the record, I was agreeing with Samo's point "as far as court goes, I don't believe a word SISU say but I'd love them to screw CCC in court".
Given all that has gone on and as we sit here right now, today, I believe only a SISU victory would bring any sort of benefit to CCFC the football club. Couldn't really give a flying monkey's about the politics involved, I'm solely concerned with the future of CCFC.

Did you read anything anyone said relating to that post you quoted? If you look at Bournemouth alone then yes it's a fantastic idea to inject ~£50 million into a club over a few years. If you look at it as a whole its a pretty shitty "investment", which is why it's a stupid thing to moan about lack of "investment".

3 people can get promoted, 3 people get relegated (championship). There are more clubs with owners investing money hoping they hit the big time, than there are premier league places. It's just maths tbf

Remember the days when you could almost guarantee promotion in the Championship by spending £1million. Parachute payments have ruined the league. Those payments should be shared amongst all FL teams. Anyway, I digress.

"We had a go for years" in the early 60's and like you said "Look where it got us" The top flight for 34 years, which I invested in with ST's and travelling to away games every other week, buying Bobble hats, scarves, rattles, and the ocassional team shirt(None of this buying a new one because the sponsors changed the kit more often than their grits.) Slightly off topic but to answer your question SBK - as I have already stated, whatever your view of history we cannot change it. Whether they are 'a bunch of lying f**kbutts' or indeed the Council are is largely irrelevant right now. Unless any of us here are key players in this saga, we can only offer opinions or speculate.
Whether we like it or not, Sisu/Otium own CCFC the Club.I can't imagine that CCC, Wasps or whoever else are currently acting in the best interests of CCFC whatsoever. Victory in court for Sisu and a financial settlement in their favour might hasten their departure, it might prompt them to invest in the Butts project, it might prompt them to increase the playing budget. Lots of might's and maybe's but I don't think a victory for CCC would offer any of these possibilities.
So given where we are today with this ongoing litigation and in the scenario offered by Samo, I would hope that Sisu are at some stage victorious in the court case(s).

IMO there needs to be huge changes in football. I just can't see how the current setup can be sustained. Until there is a setup that removes parachute payments and forces all clubs to be self sustaining football will remain in a mess with numerous clubs struggling to pay the bills.
Personally I'd have a wage cap and floor in each division and fixed squad sizes. If you get promoted and can't afford to pay the wage floor you don't go up, same as if your ground isn't up to standard.
