I did think the same thing too. Couple of mill in the bank for the land, rent a pitch a Warwick Uni for peanuts and to satisfy Sports England stick some goalposts in a field and chuck a bit of astroturf down somewhere. Job done.

You would think it would have to be the same standard at least.

It is just the whole public / private thing as well. Only CCFC players were allowed to use the pitches.

If they had a swimming pool in there only for CCFC players, would they have to rebuild that?

Anybody know how it works?

I've read the posts you've made in the past, so I am know you will understand the draft local plan that's been published covers a long period (15 years). I'm not sure others may understand the long term nature of the local plan.

Flagging the site for possible housing development in the local plan, doesn't mean that the training ground will be sold or that housing will be built any time soon.

Also, the whole thing might be a paper exercise at this stage. Getting the site allocated as being a potential site for 75 houses in the local plan will raise it's theoretical value.

This latest news can be looked at either way. Sisu have come to the conclusion that they have been cornered so bad that selling is the only way out, so are cashing in on the only thing they have. Or they are trying to cash in and are about to invest in a multi purpose facility with the training ground and stadium all in the same piece of land.

Now as i was writing the Multi purpose facility bit i was laughing to myself thinking this is the most way out thing I've posted on here(in my opinion). Even with all the conspiracy stuff i had posted months ago. This is another piece in a very big jigsaw that is falling away from coincidence being a factor, with the telegraph now firmly standing on the opposite side to Sisu they know more than they can print in my opinion and already know making an enemy of Sisu now will not matter in the future. So expect more and more negative stuff to come out about the dealing and goings on of our owners from them and other parties involved.

If this is part of an end game then however is pushing this is willing to pick up the pieces and are take a gamble on how much will be left if the goal is reached. Sisu only have the option of buying land building and selling, that is not an realistic outcome nor is wanting 60mill. They have to take and run, selling the training ground is in my opinion part of an exit strategy, not an investment. As for talks being held again all parties are playing a game a deal for extension at the higgs may come into it but as im thinking those who are pushing are connected to those around the table in the end it will be for the benefit of those stepping in and not those stepping out.

That's what I am asking though, they have been trying to do it for years way before all of the "cornering".

You are right though, if the Telegraph didn't think somebody was happening then they knew they were going to lose access to the club the moment they did it.

It is a big gamble though, as we saw when everybody went all out about Haskell before.

Everything is charged to ARVO so any funds are technically due to that entity

Didn't Mogga say that one of the selling points for attracting new players was the standard of the training facilities? (having seen them the pitches are great but the buildings not so) Renting someone elses going to do that? Building new one will take time and additional funds

Can RBC or anyone else have confidence in assurances given.

If we raised £2m then would that pay for a new training ground, the Fleetwood one that just opened cost £6.5m. So the logic would be we are selling something in order to borrow more to replace it (if it is replaced)

Perhaps they will share with another sports team, I cant see it being Wasps, so CRFC or even Broadstreet ?

Just seems further evidence of an internet based zombie company that struggles to put a competitive team on the pitch or to engage on even a half decent level with its customers - us the fans

I did work on the ew Fleetwood training ground last year it is quite nice but you don't get a lot for £6.5m

I really don't know about ryton and if it's green belt and everything else but it is our last asset and that's what sisu do they asset strip. This is our last one so hopefully they piss off after it. Why stick around then?

Biggest clue before was when vincelot was sold in the summer IMO. Was it a reported 90-100k fee? Well that's alarm bells in my head as that fee when we just got 4m for Maddison 100k is nothing and for a decent league one player probably not the highest paid. It's just smacks of shutting up shop almost like a closing down sale.

So perhaps to tie in with that? Sell what decent players we have in January? Like Willis who was all but tipped to leave. A good player btw. Then they might actually piss off by the summer.

I say the summer because it gives time for ryton to develop and sell January assets. They haven't got a new ground and wasps won't talk to them. There isn't a plan past 2018 regardless.
