I'm a tad sceptical yet am Convinced this was part of Andersons brief.
The CT stuff may be a consequence of this information being revealed from either party.

tbh, it's been the brief for a long long time, hasn't it. Just it's easier said than done!

But yeah, the Telegraph stuff is looking more and kmore shoddy really. Don't like people who jump on others' misery for their own glory, would think/hope better of the localpaper than that.

You're right, but all their success is tempered down currently by such promise being nipped in the bud & abject failure being on the cards again I guess?
It is the opposite argument of 'my mom is better than yours' type thing I suppose

But we are where we are Baz, struggling in league 1, renting someone else's stadium, about to
Lose our academy, year in Northampton, dwindling crowds and very little hope for the future.
And.
They are where they are..........
I'm sorry but you're projections as to what the future holds for them don't really count, so again
Who has the worst owners?

AFCs post makes it sound like sisu are going to make it official that they are willing to sell the club or a share of the club rather than there is any actual interest from other parties - we'll see.

Agreed CVD...my statement was more out of hope than fact...

Here's hoping that Malaka can bring us some good news, a.s.a.p.
IMHO, this lot, will, in years to come set the benchmark on how to wilfully neglect a football club.
Hang your heads in shame SISU !!!!

Hi Harry
I'm going to the game tomorrow and bringing someone back after the game who may know a thing or two. Hopefully I can find out a bit more but I cant push him and I wont compromise him either. Like I have said from the start it is only a rumour, but I can confirm that it is going around the club and people in the know aren't saying much

Over to you Malaka - don't let us down son....

I have heard it is a local business man looking at putting in some money don't believe it is a takeover situation.
Let's hope there is a covenant that it must be used to buy players.

Just to back Malaka here a little. Sisu are up to something in the background and it is to do with ccfc now a complete burden on their portfolio of investments. As I understand, they have been looking for a JV deal with potential investors or potential sell up if a certain price is matched. I have no idea what the price is. At the moment there isn't any money to put into the club. The club is barley ticking along and the only way for Sisu now is to find partners with money ready to invest or take what they can on their valuation. At the moment everything is on hold within the club until they know he next steps. Hence no progress on anything and temp manager etc.

Heard similar and that it is possibility due to the damage the club are causing to the reputation and value of the overall company. Not sure if this true but hearing things about their reputation plummeting.
However I don't work in that world so can say it is correct myself, just rumours. Anyone an investment guru on here?

Not sure I'm reading this right, but are you saying (not you personally) that
Coventry City FC are damaging the reputation of SISU.
If so, ffs that's a bit rich isn't it.:wtf:

Just got back, not much said but there is a buzz that investment is imminent.
No one knows for sure where it's coming from.
The board/owners do not have much to do with the team, therefore there is just speculation as to where it is coming from. They are guessing just like we are.
Sorry it ain't anymore than that but when I know or hear anything I will let you know.
The talk on the way home was about the game mostly and it is awkward to push as he does not know for sure but is pretty confident that there will be a cash injection soon. But please be aware this is just a rumour, and to be fair he has been spot on in the past.
Keep em crossed people

Thanks for the info Malaka. Sounds like a very peculiar situation to me. But with our owners, what do you expect?!

We obviously would argue we have. But lie I said - try telling that to the suffering Blackpool or Hull fans!

Got no reason to doubt Malaka he has been on the money before with his news. Have heard very vague mutterings myself but nothing I can quantify or have confidence in

My only real questions are why? Why would any one partner up with SISU? Why would any one put good money in to a failed and all but bust investment? Why would anyone choose to put the money in with no security?

Surely anyone investing is effectively making a gift to CCFC and easing SISU concerns on finance for no real reward because the prospect of getting the "investment" back seems pretty remote to me. If there is an interest charge then that just makes CCFC's break even harder to achieve and means less spent on players later on unless significant success achieved and crowd numbers greatly increase

Sorry if that comes across as negative and sceptical but just my opinion

Totally agree. Our current owners business model has failed to achieve profitability or success on the field....potentially leading to a profit when selling off or reaching the "promised land" of SKY £m's. So, why would anyone invest in SISU?

Well they wouldn't is the answer to your last question. The project ccfc has failed. It has been run into the ground and this is the end IMO. We all know about sisus finances off the field and the lack of talk and lack of manager and lack of players and lack of deal to stay at the Ricoh or academy really goes to show it's all about staying up this season and moving on.

This is just my opinion however and if Malaka etc have all heard rumors then all can't be wrong surely. Either way rumour or not something has to happen as this is just a life support machine waiting to be turned off unless someone has the miracle cure.

I frequent the hospitality areas in a lot of the away games and Lord Leigh is often around.

He has some money and some land.

I get the impression that he has been writing chequers for a bit.

Just saying.

There doesn't seem to be any feasible reason why anyone would.

Maybe because Sisu won't leave. May be clutching at straws here, but maybe Sisu won't sell and want something silly for the debt, but are willing to hang around with a certain share while someone else runs the club and finances it day to day.

I think that is the only option. SISU will want to always be about to get some money back. Maybe a JV is in the plan which means a new investor may not have to buy the debt, but will invest to get the cash rewards for tv money etc. SISU will see this as one way of not losing face , only losing 50% ownership and the potential to get some / all of their money back.

God only knows who would want to get into bed with SISU tho!

Perhaps the "investment" is a more straightforward sponsorship arrangement rather than a stake in the team/company or perhaps it could be SISU themselves opting to put more cash in with the goal of putting us towards the top of the table and making us more salable?

Whatever the truth of it turns out to be just hope it results in improved fortunes for us on the pitch......

Not without control. I think Manchester may be on the money, a sponsorship is more plausible than investment.

Must be a nightmare for those Hull fans. Not sure how they will manage to cope, what with only playing Tottenham, Everton and Man CIty in the coming weeks
Typically uncaring/disinterested attitude that many of us slated fans of other clubs for when we have sought their support...plus the fact they probably won't be relishing the prospect of at least 2 hammerings

So we should feel sorry for them?
FFS, they'd never been in the top flight until 07, he wanted to change there name but couldn't.
Whatever way you look at it, the last 10 years are the most successful in their (110 est) years
History, it's almost the polar opposite of our last decade, what is it you're struggling with.

That's my confidence gone if you're saying that the board/owners haven't even got a clue about this investment. Unless you meant it as the team/players are just speculating like we are?

I use to have a season ticket at Bootherry Park whilst I lived up north, most of my friends are Hull fans, they're only disgruntled about Allam not selling up like promised, problem is that even he don't know what price he wants for the club. Their predicament is not even remotely close to ours, they'll strengthen more in January, we won't.
