Yeah, you can say no, but once clubs are interested players heads get turned.

Saying no can result in demotivated players.

How could they get any more demotivated?

And besides, isn't Haynes contract up in the summer?

Why let him go for nothing when you can get a bit of cash now?

It probably is but if he plays well and we stop up because of it how much is that worth compared to 50k now I don't know the value but can't be much more.

Did I just write that I must be going crazy

I'm not to fussed about any of our players leaving to be honest. No one has pulled any trees up this season, a few you could make a case for wanting to keep but majority can leave in my opinion.

on the one hand it is good to see the club holding out for their valuation of players ........ but it is still a gamble that could go horribly wrong ....... I would guess they will need the sale money to get through the summer especially if season ticket sales crash ........ if they end up selling no one they have a real problem

Funnily enough, the one player I would want to keep is Ben Stevenson, the one player almost certain to leave.

By the look of things we will be lucky to field a team for Saturday and next Tuesday....
Same old Sisu sell players when its to late to bring anyone in!
Probably get Wright and Ageyi back as loans announced Wednesday morning!

I've looked at the table for our home and away games and it indicates at home our defence is fine but we score no goals, and away we also score no goals but let in plenty.
My conclusion from this is we need a goalscorer more than anything else. The long-ball game will not do us any good because it is a very low percentage tactic, at least 50% of those balls will go to the opposition.

Why sign Stokes when you can let him get fit here then snap him up for free?

Let's face it, we will be far more desperate in the summer and players more willing to go. I'd be surprised if many left now.

just looked on bbc site and most teams are bringing in loans and strengthening but not us, same old, same old, ffs
We do always seem a bit last minute at the end of Jan don't we.

Can't think of any other season where we have needed strengthening more than this.

Slade HAS to bring some quality in. It is our only hope.

Stick with what we have got and we may hardly win another game this season.

Yep, you'd think we'd be in a bit of a rush to get things done wouldn't you. Languishing as we are. Thing is, with recent events in mind and league position , I bet we're bottom of the pile of clubs that players want to play for.

No, Turner had made much more of an impact. Never say never with Sisu, but can't see Stokes going. You can enjoy saying I told you so if it happens.
After such a long term injury I would be surprised.

A conspiracy theorist of course though would probably deduce that a club wanted to buy him, so we dusted him down and picked him to play in the first half against Brighton and the buying club were happy with what they saw, so Slade withdrew him.

Sold tomorrow.

I have come to the conclusion if we score more than the opposition then we have a very good chance of staying up but my research has uncovered we are unlikely to achieve this goal because we are not very good.

Please don't froget we have signed 6 players this window - more than most. Yes, we do need more especially muscle up front, incisive wide player and a battering ram in midfield, but most windows have a few late signings so we may end up with 8 new bods in for the window overall.

Yes, we have signed players. I think the problem is we are still crap even after the signings and it shows how short we are in quality all over the field.

The players (beavon apart)that have come in are as bad as the rest,
Reilly, Clarke, Folry and the Derby boys have come in at an awful time to be fair.
I would have liked see Beavon up front with Sordell

As usual quantity over quality, we may have signed 6 but some are worse than what we had or are not needed, also how many have gone out the door

I'd assume Sordell leaving has funded at least two of the three signings.
Are we back on par with loans, can't remember how many left 4 or 5?
