Yeah, you can say no, but once clubs are interested players heads get turned.
Saying no can result in demotivated players.
How could they get any more demotivated?

Lack focus, mind elsewhere. How could they get any more demotivated?
My gut feeling is Stokes will go at the last minute too.BREAKING: Coventry City reject offers for Ryan Haynes, Jordan Willis and Spurs interest in Cian Harries
2 offers from Rotherham for Willis.
Wolves offer for Haynes
Spurs want Harries on trial.
Nothing for Stevenson yet.
And besides, isn't Haynes contract up in the summer?
Why let him go for nothing when you can get a bit of cash now?

Funnily enough, the one player I would want to keep is Ben Stevenson, the one player almost certain to leave.I'm not to fussed about any of our players leaving to be honest. No one has pulled any trees up this season, a few you could make a case for wanting to keep but majority can leave in my opinion.
Normal day thenDon't know what I'd do if I scored a goal for CCFC though. I'd cry, wet myself and run around silly. Even if we were losing.
Yeah and I would try and sell Dion Kelly-Evans as three players.I reckon we should just offer are shit players to Chinese teams, 10 million for Bigirimana and Turnbull please.
Surely the other clubs wouldn't be happy and would be denying that they had made bids?Call me a sceptic but perhaps SISU have leaked interest for players but actually there is no interest just to get a bit more cash
Not if they got a cutSurely the other clubs wouldn't be happy and would be denying that they had made bids?
That one would be surprising given his lack of football this season. My gut feeling is Stokes will go at the last minute too.
Is he Akinfenwa?Nothing gets by you
Surprising as Ben Turner eh!That one would be surprising given his lack of football this season.
We do always seem a bit last minute at the end of Jan don't we.just looked on bbc site and most teams are bringing in loans and strengthening but not us, same old, same old, ffs
No, Turner had made much more of an impact. Never say never with Sisu, but can't see Stokes going. You can enjoy saying I told you so if it happens.Surprising as Ben Turner eh!
Yep, you'd think we'd be in a bit of a rush to get things done wouldn't you. Languishing as we are. Thing is, with recent events in mind and league position , I bet we're bottom of the pile of clubs that players want to play for.just looked on bbc site and most teams are bringing in loans and strengthening but not us, same old, same old, ffs
Sign him upIs he Akinfenwa?
After such a long term injury I would be surprised. No, Turner had made much more of an impact. Never say never with Sisu, but can't see Stokes going. You can enjoy saying I told you so if it happens.
I have come to the conclusion if we score more than the opposition then we have a very good chance of staying up but my research has uncovered we are unlikely to achieve this goal because we are not very good.I've looked at the table for our home and away games and it indicates at home our defence is fine but we score no goals, and away we also score no goals but let in plenty.
My conclusion from this is we need a goalscorer more than anything else. The long-ball game will not do us any good because it is a very low percentage tactic, at least 50% of those balls will go to the opposition.
Yes, we have signed players. I think the problem is we are still crap even after the signings and it shows how short we are in quality all over the field. Please don't froget we have signed 6 players this window - more than most. Yes, we do need more especially muscle up front, incisive wide player and a battering ram in midfield, but most windows have a few late signings so we may end up with 8 new bods in for the window overall.
I'd assume Sordell leaving has funded at least two of the three signings. The players (beavon apart)that have come in are as bad as the rest,
Reilly, Clarke, Folry and the Derby boys have come in at an awful time to be fair.
I would have liked see Beavon up front with Sordell
