COVENTRY City are still hoping to bring in one striker – or one attacking midfielder – with 90 minutes to go before the transfer window closes at 11pm, we can reveal.
Club sources have just told us boss Russell Slade is still hoping to finalise a deal to boost goalscoring options, which has been a problem all season.
One striker in particular is being considered at this late stage.
He is not the same striker who Slade was targeting earlier today.
We are told the club realistically at this late stage expects to bring in one more player at best, if at all.
There has also been renewed late interest in one young Sky Blues player tonight which
could still lead to a sale.
Brentford with the Hogan money?
Left with a disaffected Willis?
might get a striker (but not who he was after?)
A bit depressing?!
