Transfer rumours in or out (1 Viewer)

Really boring subject but it's both a closed final salary scheme ( Defined benefit) and Money purchased scheme.

Are you finding that more people are cashing the whole fund in post the new legislation? Is this a good idea do you think?

Apparently according to Les Reid...Slade is working on a late deal for strikee as he has missed out on his first target.

Also a late bid has come in for a cov youngster
Bottom of the barrel scrapings? Can't see that many good strikers being available anyway, but if we missed out on our first choice, how good is the second choice?

COVENTRY City are still hoping to bring in one striker – or one attacking midfielder – with 90 minutes to go before the transfer window closes at 11pm, we can reveal.

Club sources have just told us boss Russell Slade is still hoping to finalise a deal to boost goalscoring options, which has been a problem all season.

One striker in particular is being considered at this late stage.

He is not the same striker who Slade was targeting earlier today.

We are told the club realistically at this late stage expects to bring in one more player at best, if at all.

There has also been renewed late interest in one young Sky Blues player tonight which could still lead to a sale.

Brentford with the Hogan money?
Left with a disaffected Willis?
might get a striker (but not who he was after?)
A bit depressing?!

LIVE: Coventry City late bid to land a striker, and late bid for one Sky Blues player

Depends on which side of the fence you sit. Good for the scheme defeceit but not the sensible option for the individual typically. Of course, every individual has there own situation but typically a short sighted option in my opinion .We have tried to discourage people ( attempt to adopt a concerned employer approach) but end of the day a vast majority of people take the short term misguided view.

So it was two to come in, now down to one and the one is not our first choice.

Mouthwatering isn't it.

Christie, Turner, Murphy, Jutkeiwiz (sp?), Sordell, JOB, Fleck, Thomas, Phillips, Vincelot, Pugh, Webster, Jackson, Miller, Murphy, Moussa, Seabourne, J Clarke, Adams, Daniels, Swanson.

All went to clubs above us now. I could go on.
Seaborne, Daniels, Webster, Miller?

Am I missing something here, some of the worse players to pull on the shirt in the history of the club here.

We need strengthening. If two go out and one comes in that will be annoying. Even one out one in if it is Stevenson.

That will not be strengthening.

We do still have the two trialists though don't we.

Why are we fucking around with targets we can't land, when it's the last day of the window?????

Yes lets just sign someone who is shit and desperate. Let's just get something over the line....then we can all shout: He is shit!

Did anybody really expect anything different?

Same old City. No notable incomings (which were promised)

And only rumours seem to be of outgoings.

Surely Tim needs to be summoned to CWR and questioned as to why he lied on both TalkSPORT and CWR about funds being available to improve the squad

Slade is desperately trying to get hold of Fisher or Venus to sanction incoming deals, but it has become apparent that their phones are off

Oucho, when you say play alongside. Is that senior level or could he have say played with that player at youth/u21 level for club/country?
