Maybe, just to be controversial the council and higgs didn't offer them the same as they thought this would better protect the club in the long run. Most thought at the time that Sisu were using us as a vehicle for a land grab, ergo we would still be in the same position we are now.

Yeah, the council hate clubs being used as a vehicle for a land grab. Imagine being a sports team and being seen as an 'add-on' to a property development company.......Oh wait....

The situation is that the action was filed in court back in 2014. It was suspended by the courts while JR1 was ruled on. So the action is already before the courts what we are waiting on is whether ARVO, SBS&L and Otium want to unsuspend the action and take it forward. ie what it is that Joy Seppala wants to do as she appears to control/act for those entities

Nope.
It's the same loan until CCC took it over at full value and Wasps then did the same when they took it off CCC.
Actually I think they got the bank to knock a few million off, but nowhere near the £7-10m SISU reckoned they could negotiate.

The difference being preparedness to pay the market rate.

For me, those terms of Wasps purchase of the Ricoh were not offered to the club, and it needs to be answerable to law.
Hate this constant shit, but the club has a case for me.
I just wish they would pass on the club but continue JR2 once they have gone. Sell the club and keep all all the money from JR2 ,we just don't care.
All we care is for the club to have new owners
Not sure why they would even talk to the club at that point as they were fighting in court at that time but also thought Sisu wouldn't consider taking on the loan. City council have the freehold, they hardly going to negotiate a lease with someone who are sueing them.

So if this is pursued no one will speak to them again and we will be homeless when current deal at the Ricoh expires.

This has been expected, I secretly hoped it would just go away but it has arrived and is as welcome as a January credit card statement.

This more than likely is the beginning of the end of CCFC as Wasps / ACL will tell us to play football elsewhere and we saw how well that went last time.
Knowing what I know Saturdays protests at Sixfields may have shoveled mud into very murky waters.

This legal action is a complete waste of time. Like JR1 it will hurt the club immensely and be if no benefit at all.
Like JR1 it is unwinable.
Like JR1 we will have to wait till all appeals have been exhausted.
SISU will try and run the club at breakeven whilst this drags on.
The squad will change by 8 or 9 players each season. We will go through another few managers.
Joy Sepalla will still be a constant. As will Tim who may dissapear into the background if the animosity becomes too much again. They reappear when another scapegoat director gets sacked or sees it coming and resigns.
If we are luck we will get the odd manager like Mowbray who when they first come in attract players above our station. Eventually they will get done by an ever decreasing budget.
Only when JR2 is over and Ryton is sold will we finall get new owners.
Let's get on with this JR2 ASAP.
Get it over with ASAP.

Can't wait for thousands of posts about JR2. Nick, do us all a favour and put JR1 threads up, save us all to regurgitate the same old shit....
Nick is missing out big time by not having an advertisement for Prozac plastered all over his site, could make a killing.

We are a nothing football club. Not because of us fans and history but because of the shower who own us. They couldn't give a toss and frankly I can't about them. Unfortunely they own my football club but I won't let them hold me to ransom because of it. No I'm not Nopm but I just don't want to go. Why would anyone want to? I go to watch my team because it plays in Coventry and has a decent team plays decent football and owners has the fans who are everything has their main concern. We really are scraping the barrel. It's waiting to be taken over until then I really can't take anymore. It hurts too much. Even a stupid JR 2 case like this. It means nothing to me in itself but with everything else it's a bridge to far as it signifies the end to us playing in Coventry again. We know we can't stay.

We really need some help with our club here I'm afraid from someone somewhere.

At least with JR2 we have something to look forward to. Could be a laugh hearing what crap they come out with this time.

Anybody know the likely timeframe with this - and is there anything post JR2 for SISU to take to court (e.g. Wasps?) Please God, no .... just want them to get to the end of this process, and finally do whatever it is they intend.

It would be funny if it wasn't so serious I think the saying goes.

The chances of winning JR2, are the same chances as Trump becoming a Muslim Feminist!

I can't understand why these muppets continue court cases - is it pride? Or is too much "accrued management fees / revenue" sitting on their balance sheet - so once legal actions stop, they've got no excuse to their auditors not to expense quite a few million pounds?

Either way....it's only a matter of time.

Either way, I don't know how they can sleep at night.....but sure they do, comforted by their big, fat, undeserved pay check.

Be fascinating to see whether JR 2 does show that the council were never negotiating with CCFC in good faith. Though I suspect all the early discussions between senior people in ACL / CCC were strictly off the record.
But we know that Joy refused to negotiate. It was on her terms or not at all.

So if JR2 doesn't show that the council were never negotiating with CCFC in good faith, it's not
Because it didn't happen, but because it happened "off the record" I get ya.
That way you can still blame the council whatever the outcome, yeah good idea to get that one

The football league should step in at the end if this season and remove the golden share, they should then invite any interested parties to put forward proposals on how CCFC can continue to function as a football club in Coventry.

The SISU group of companies can then carry on taking who they like to court without the threat of CCFC facing extinction.

It's simple either FL take the golden share of fans stop going. Got to end this nightmare and these actions achieve it imo.
