Loved Kissing The Pink. That was a cracking single/album despite being a SAW production. They were on TOTP on BBC4 last night doing Last Film. I have loads of unreleased mixes and demos (from all albums) if you ever want a copy.
Yes I caught that, jogged my memory for the album. There is something about Arcade Fire that reminds me of KTP.

Don't think I've heard anything by Arcade Fire. There is a good KTP website with interviews, downloads etc.

I will check that out, as for Arcade Fire they are one of my favourite bands of more recent times, worth catching up with if you have a spare few hours

Mmm....I might have a little time to spare over the next few months. It would be good to try and open my mind to "new" music. I do tend to be a little inflexible when it comes to listening to new bands, etc.

My son got me Metallica's new album for my birthday.Atlas Rise is a great track and the whole album is loud and in your face. If you put it on full volume the walls start bouncing ! Better warn the neighbours !

The hum of my computer fan.
No birds singing or dogs barking today,
Earlier was listening to Andy Turner on the CT site prattling on about the change in manager.

Elizabeth City State - Year of the V-Neck

Only thing they ever did, I think. Have it on a compilation from the early 90s. Brilliant.

Anyone here 'young' enough to recall the Nu-Metal craze of 1999-2004?

I dug out some old CD's yesterday, and stuck Linkin Park's first two albums on: Meteora, the second, still sounds pretty good.

There was Slipknot and a frightening looking Swedish death-core band CD in the case too, daren't put it on cos it might affect the bowels.

I think the last 35 seconds of The American where Charlie plays a solo in a staccato style is one of my favourite endings to a track ever. In fact I'm off the the intro's and solo's thread to add it.

Loved this then and love it now. The 14 year old Torch got very excited over this record. Dug the 12" out yesterday. Lovely stuff.

Undecided which version is best ? Spirit In The Sky by Norman Greenbaum or the one by Dr and the Medics.
Played both recently and liked them both !
