How on earth are either of them my idols? I have spoken out against Corbyn on here numerous times. Even so, he still far more preferable to the likes of May.

I have great respect for what Abbot has achieved though, particularly in her younger days.

What is it you respect about the despicable fool Abbot?

That she's probably the most racist MP in parliament?

Her grammar education?

That her best school chum is Michael Portillo?

Her blatent hypocrisy? A frequent critic of labour politicians who sent their children even to grammar school she famously went a step further?

Her lack of memory? Most significant when she seemed to overlook declaring being paid on This Week?

Her socialist principals. Especially apparant one year when claiming £140,000 in expenses?

She is still a lot more intelligent than you and I, and your claims she is racist are absurd. She also managed to get into Cambridge during the 70s when there were still no blacks no irish signs in London.
I notice you have no issues with Hammond or Johnson being forgetful, but you have a lot of bile for Abbot. I wonder why?

Hahahaha speak for yourself.

Without doubt one of your best statements ever.

I think the more likely reason is concern the result won't be the one they want.

Been several times on various topics on here the suggestion has been made that democracy should be suspended when there's a danger of not getting the 'correct' result.

Come off it, are you serious? I had you down as one of the more intelligent ones on here.
You must surely realise that 'democratic' and 'second referendum' should never be used in the same sentence.
Unless of course you are Tim Farron or Nick Clegg...or a supporter of either.

So she's not racist - ok would any of these comments be racist?

- all black people divide and rule

- all black people look exactly the same (this is a cryptic reference to a comment she once made about White nurses)

- all white mothers look after their children at all costs

- black nurses wouldn't understand a white patients needs

Interesting also you ignore everything else - the champagne socialism, the expenses issues, the dodgy claims.

Why do you bring other people into it who I've never said I respect.

You respect these values.

As I say a lot in common with the Charlottesville chaps

Why are you yet to attack Johnson and Hammond?

Tedious bleating is a strange way to describe someone having a different opinion. We have an EU thread and some others have drifted on to the subject by blaming things on the EU, which explains how the subject comes up. 'Almost every thread' is more than a slight exaggeration, but you seem to like deflecting...
Deflection or not - they all count

How is challenging bigots the same as believing in racial superiority and genocide?
Just like football...you can challenge fairly or you can challenge unfairly. Behaving as the Nazi when challenging the Nazi is basically making you as bad as the Nazi...but with differing principles

Oddly because you didn't say you respected then and they haven't been discussed on here have they?

It's Abbot we are discussing and in curious what you respect given her expenses issues her hypocrisy and blatent racism.

We have discussed both Hammond and Johnson numerous times on this forum and I have yet to see you attack them. You even went and voted for their party.

I respect what she achieved throughout her career during a period when the country was not as tolerant as it is now.

Why don't you just come clean. Your pro-irish/anti-British position is well known on here.

Abbott said in the 1984 interview that Ireland “is our struggle — every defeat of the British state is a victory for all of us. A defeat in Northern Ireland would be a defeat indeed.”

How the hell is allowing the electorate to vote on something undemocratic?

Because we already have. We never voted to join the EU we never voted to join political union with Maastricht and Lisbon

You only want another referendum as you didn't like the first outcome. Having referendums until you get the correct answer would be expected in the banana republics and Mugawbawe land. Not here.

if we're appying the same checks being applied to Abbott to all MPs parliament will be empty!

Sick boy respects her though. Clearly he respects a racist, an expense abuser and a hypocrite.

Interesting friends he has.

Yes she's an IRA sympathiser and a friend of the Trotskyite Bernie Grant. To be fair to Bernie he seemed to grow up and actually was pretty respected as a good guy in the end. I have never heard a good word said about Abbot from anyone whose met her.

We have a government- we don't need referenda. Look what has happened to the U.K. by having a virtual 50:50 result. No-one won because the argument is still going on and in the end no-one will be happy. The vote was on an unknown quantity to save the Tory party. Very banana republic...

If you genuinely believe that Diane Abbot is a racist then you really are fucking moron.

So many videos show she is.

and a hypocrite

and she thinks mass murderer Mao was a net force for good

and has to apologise for calling Brexit voters racist.

she is an awful person.

Grendel liked a captain dart post. I've seen it all now.

She is quite clearly racist just to add my two pence worth in. Same as david lammy labour mp who has some very questionable comments to his name and that's being kind.

Was it also Naz shah who also asked and liked for the white girls getting rapped by Muslims gangs to keep quiet for the sake of diversity. You couldn't make it up.

That lady last week got sacked for speaking out about Muslim gangs the labour mp and then her mate stuck up for her and she got pushed also.

It's beyond belief.

That's not what it is. You make it sound like it's wrong and it's clever but it doesn't wash.

Do you remember the Irish voting no TWICE and being made to vote yes the third time? I do.

Do you remember the french and Dutch reject the treaty in 2005? I do.

Clearly you are democratic when the result is your way. If you want a referendum to rejoin the eu in 40 years like we've had to wait then fine be my guest.

There won't be a UK in 40 years time. Brexit has opened wounds and split the country. We need to settle the Brexit problem in the foreseeable future.

The problem with the argument you're both making is I didn't vote remain.

What is the problem with having a vote once we know the terms under which we would leave? There is an insistence on here that people knew what they were voting for. So if you assume what we have been promised is correct and leave is the best option for the country then once we know the terms surely the leave vote can only grow stronger.

I would only have an issue with allowing people to have a vote on the final deal if I didn't have confidence that a good deal could be delivered.

Or Nigel Farage who said a 52:48 result would mean work to be done..... presumably to get another referendum...

Why didnt we have s vote to join it in the first place? Perhaps we should have 10 referendums and then if it still ends up leave toss a coin?

Abbot is racist. Of that there is absolutely no debate.

If Nigel Farage had been asked why he sent his child to private school and he said because white mothers would go to the wall for their children or that white patients should be cared by white nurses as blacks wouldn't understand their culture you wouldn't label those as racist statements - seriously?

Even her own party made her apologise for offensive and racist remarks!

Are you saying you don't believe there should have been a referendum at all and therefore the result should be ignored?
