I was told something about Dale Evans by someone who knows him and it is not very pleasant at all. Not going to repeat it on here but am happy to talk about it privately. Certainly doesn't show him at all in a good light.

Of course the person who told me this might be telling me bullshit, but it certainly leaves a little doubt in anyone's mind.

Do you know any of his friends in person?

You would have to understand why some would doubt stuff he comes out with. I joined in the FB conversation he had last week and following that someone approached me on FB and befriended me. They talked of knowing him. They declared him to be a serial bullshitter. We had a good 10 minute conversation, at the end of it which this person then said about something Dale had been claiming previously that simply wasn't true and that he got an awful lot of flak for it.

This of course doesn't mean I simply believe what this person has said, but of course it has put doubts in my mind.

Don't get your stance at all unfortunately. He said things that were factually inaccurate and was picked up on it. I really see no problem with that at all. Do we just cut him slack simply because he is a City fan?

I don't know about validity of anything on Facebook. However, his own words have proved him wrong about things.

I seen it, a guy was saying he's always bullshitted, always posting cars he can't afford, houses he can't afford. Claims he's lied about his wealth too and it' all bullshit.

Gary Hoffman has seen all the proof he needs of Dales finance's, so have a few of his closest friends. I know one of them enough and have been friends with him for 3 years, met a few times at the casino before the game. A very positive person who would not join into a prank against the fans, no chance. That's why I believe it's all real, successful on the other hand is another debate.

I haven't accepted what he has said because it has proved to be factually inaccurate. Even Hoffman himself is saying there will be no takeover while the legal stuff is ongoing. Do we believe Dale and say Hoffman is a liar?

There clearly is stuff that this guy has made up. It's not open for debate. It's not a he said, she said tittle tattle situation, it's hard recorded evidence.

Otis has been accused of all sorts through the thread. I just find it strange as he just posted up something the guy himself said that was clearly made up and it has seemingly offended.

Yep. I actually did see that. That was when I was in there. This abuse to his family though must be so much worse than that.

My take on this is immaterial and doesn't change anything.
The guy has the money he said he has, is not a businessman and has now joined with the big boys.
I can't say he is a good guy or a fool but I can acknowledge that he is sincere in his attempt to assist in saving my football club. Unskilled maybe but what has he done to you to be so dismissive of him? He may turn out to be the reason our club survives.

Exactly my conclusion. That he was a fantasist and that was also what was told to me after his radio interview.

Frankly, the way he's performed he does more damage to the credibility of the consortium atm however. So based on his performances, I'm hoping he has no sway or influence beyond handing over some cash, and TPTB are able to shut him up for their own sakes!

99.9% of people would agree it's out of order abusing and threatening his family and way across the line, I'd like to think 100% but there's always strange people.

As I'm apparently the 3rd most hated person by city fans, if I said I was going to close the site tomorrow because somebody abused my family would nobody be interested in who or why they were threatening them? I'd be confident even people who disagree with everything I say would think that abusing my family was out of order.

Even if he turns out to have made it all up, making threats to his family are way over the line and should not be tolerated. He really should name and shame them as it is disgusting and I doubt any city fans would be behind that sort of stuff.

The best course of action now is to just let them do what they need to do. It's pointless having another 20 pages. In the next week or two, if the guy really a fraud which I highly doubt, it will all come out in the end, it always does.

In one breath claim someone had told him something, but won't say what it is on a open forum, but will get down and dirty in a PM. Gone down a massive amount in my reckoning for simply making that statement. Hence him not replying to my post! We all hear one thing or another in everyday life, but have our own conscience wether to/not to spread gossip. Otis obviously has no conscience to even contemplate discussing to all and sundry in a PM..... Now! tell me I'm wrong!
