Haynes- left & Jones right

Nazon behind McNulty or Pont.

Get Haynes and Jones being direct, getting the ball into the area for whoever the 2 in the middle are simple. : )
But Haynes can't cross a ball-did you not see the 3-4 that went out for goal kicks yesterday when in a decent position?

Shipley seems to have a decent cross on him. Maybe Stokes with Shipley in front and Jones out on the right.

Forgetting the strikers for a minute.

Our 3 attacking midfielsers have:

Jones has scored in just 2 of the 17 league games he's played in
Vincenti has score in just 1 of the 12 league games he's played in
DKE has scored just 1 in 7 league games

Our 2 main CMs have scored
Doyle 1 in 17
Kelly 0 in 16

So whilst the forwards aren't doing it, very little is coming from our attacking midfielders or midfield as a whole.

Everyone's have a pop at Biamou for example but the lad has only started 5 league games.

Yep. That's damning evidence isn't it.

Yep-after Haynes normal ineptitude yesterday I wouldn't mind Shipley in.

Even worse when you look at top of the league Notts County.

Their 2 top scorers are their 2 wingers

Jorge grant 11 goals 5 assists
Ryan Yates 5 goals

Stead (4) and Ameobi (2) havent been banging them in.

On flip side for all those stats they sre only 6 pts better off than us and we beat them head to head

We are a hood team and will be ok this season. By ok i mean promotion!

Not burge bashing but feel if he was on his line he would have saved it. It was along way out

close game yesterday, but we just aren't creating enough.

Lost 3 in 5 in the league now, but still in the shake up.

MR really needs to address the width in Jan,

If he stays on his line (in general) then he has a wider area to cover (if I remember anything about angles)?

Name the chances, it's simple if there are so many.

Am I allowed to quote the match report and comments on here or will you demand pretty pictures again and say those chances have already been mentioned by others.
If so I am still not playing. As I can only talk about the chances that happened.

I'd say best bet is to take a gamble on someone from non-league. If you're after someone proven at this level it won't happen - they'll likely be looking higher.

You do get surprises sometimes. Playing at the Ricoh and playing for Coventry City is still a big draw.
Sometimes someone is coming to the end of their contract like the Leon Clarke Scenario. Or a player not getting playing time from above like Tony A, but a striker.
Or a young lad on loan who turns out better than this level.
Or as you say someone who is prolific at non league.
Fingers crossed Robins finds him.

Haynes on the left ?, recalling Reid ?, wing backs ?, what's your thoughts ?

any of the above, something else? We clearly have a problem that needs addressing.
Personally, I think the lack of ball carrying/creativity from centre mid is where the problems lie so maybe go with wing backs and bring Stevenson or Shipeley into centre mid in a 352.
We can't just keep on doing what we're doing and expect things to change, it's like Mowbray all over again.

And that's the worry. We need to react and evolve, not just sit there and watch the whole thing unravel before our eyes. Changes and adjustments need to be made.

Sorry but I don’t and won’t accept the shit so far this season. It utter dog shit and unacceptable. Again we’ve brought badly again and I’m sick to my fucking back teeth of it all!!

We’re pathetic and show no idea on how to entertain our long suffering crowd against teams I’m sadly embarrassed to go home and admit we played and lost to tiny little Forest green rovers, Mansfield and who ever we rock up against.

Why does the this football club have so much bad luck and cannot break the cycle? It’s unacceptable.

The signings this season were rushed. How on gods earth can vincenti earn a living in the game and Robins continue to play him. This guy will get Robins the sack...

you do know we are in the play offs, it really isn't that bad. Its a long season and we haven't hit 1st gear yet

It's funny how we seem to have more chances and goals when The Duck is playing. You seem not to realize that many goals are created by strikers themselves. It's relatively rare for goals to be scored on a plate, which it seems how you define a "chance". I am sure if you look back at the goals we have scored this season, you would not have classed them as "good chances" if they had not actually gone in the net.

How about the Mansfield goal yesterday? Would you have called that a chance if it had missed or been saved? No, I don't think so.

You could argue that the signs are there that we'll never hit first gear, and this is as good as it gets.

There's a few different types of striker though some will create their own chances some have to have chances created for them, Duck is one that creates his own mainly through being greedy and direct cannot see that with any of the rest of our strikers though, just makes me wonder with Robins being an ex striker why have we got so many strikers like we have its relatively common knowledge that this league is tough so we needed a nasty rough arsed striker that wouldnt give a minutes peace to opposing defenders so the 'more cultured' strikers could pick up some easier chances and capitalise on enforced errors but that hasnt happened so far, our strike force is too nice by far

I don't agree about the not hitting first gear bit.
Yes we're in the play offs and I'm not calling for Robins to go or anything like that but its groundhog day as far as our home games are concerned and he needs to do something different.

They still had more actual chances though didn't they?

It wasn't a proper chance, which is the point that we can't rely on goals from 30 yards every week and need to create a lot more.

We done that with Biamou

Yep. That's why it's a gamble. Biamou wasn't exactly a prolific goalscorer in non league though, more what I meant was go after one of the prolific strikers in non league. You may get a Vardy, Austin, Pitman, etc... He took this route in the summer going after Tarpey, that one didn't work out but there are others out there that can be looked at.
