What time does she finish Nick
Might just be a bit easier by 4 ish
Thing is No matter how confident we all are, it's gauranteed someone or Something will end up blocking everything up, like I've just heard junction 6north M6.

9 tonight, hopefully it will be OK by then. Didn't sound too much fun this morning on the way there.

What's happened on the M6?

For god's sake don't visit a main hospital if you a twisted ankle or something, they are busy dealing with heart attack and stroke patients.

Visit a local health centre instead where they have the facilities to treat minor injuries.

They will be closed on Sundays wont they?

Bit snowy here in the Forest of Dean. Somehow Don't think our Morrisons shop will be delivered from Bristol today.....still on the bright side, the it looks really quite beautiful round this area in the snow.

It's ok at a push for today, don't gave to work in the end. Tomorrow is going to be a massive pain with schools etc.

Wife is doing a 14 hour shift and will have to drive home after, not looking forward to that for her :(
That’s some shift for a Sunday Nick.

Apparantly the council have called all the gritting wagons back to the depot as the drivers are struggling to control the wagons.

So far they have bumped into a couple of cars while out gritting.

You may be ok by teatime, just hope it doesn't freeze over.
I'm afraid it IS freezing over, in Coventry at least.

We can kiss goodbye to any refuse collection this week then!

It's the same council (health & safety and all that).

I remember when bin collections were last banned, drivers were supposedly unable to control their vehicles. Yet I saw a fire engine built on the exact same chassis negotiate a side road around here with no apparent difficulty.

Talk about 'risk averse'!!!!

Surely gritting the roads would be the safer overall option than the gritters clipping the odd car here and there.

Snowing lots in cheylesmore. Looks beautiful. What a time to be alive
I like snow too. My customers don't though unfortunately, so many don't want me around for a while. I like walking in it and the Slough not far from me is great in the winter for wildlife etc. But a bloke earlier looked liked he slept out rough in it here in Bell Green, but he had a big bottle of cider in his hand, bloody hell hypothermia on its way ! I asked him does he want a hot drink from the shop ? He said no thanks and walked away drinking his cider.

Great today being off tomorrow will not be fun.

I can walk to work not fussed but more concerned for my wife having to do the nursery/ work run!

Hoping they'll all be closed.

When you can stay inside in the warm and look out, it's a terrific time of year.

Kind of enjoyed my stroll to the shop to get milk too, although sympathised for those forced to work to sell me the stuff! Not sure if I want it to hang around tomorrow for the extra day off, or need it to clear so we don't all die trying to get to work...

Heading home from Manchester today, currently sat on the train watching the grounds outside become snowier and snowier. Childish I know, but I’m excited.

First stop once home - nice walk through the snow to a country pub with an open fire and an ale. Off work tomorrow too, so I can really enjoy!

The snow is great, about 5 inches deep in Chapelfields now and it's still coming. Had a snowball fight with some randoms earlier.

No snow here at all as usual :( Can see it all over the lake district from here. But have only had snow twice since I moved here 11 years ago. Melted within an hour both times.

It's really not backing off is it :( Going to be a pain in the arse tomorrow if it's like this.

Got some young pricks throwing snowballs at cars and cyclists here in Bell Green. They are looking for trouble.
Hope someone gets out and gives them a slap !

This is a bit unrelated but along the same lines.

I was driving about a month ago and a girl probably aged about 7 or 8 was walking out and spitting at cars, it went on the side of my window and I had to pull over further down for a couple of seconds to try and make sense of it.

Had somebody the other year hammering snowballs at cars not realising I was stopping near where they were. Shit themselves when I got out and pelted a few back.
