I'm not a very big Rugby fan (the wife is) but I like to see all teams that originate from Coventry doing well, if Cov RFC's last home match of the season doesn't clash with a CCFC home game, then I will more than likely attend, and then be known as a glory hunting band wagon jumper.

Same here.

Be great if loads of City fans go.

Hopefully they can explain the rules on the scoreboard as the match plays out.

Hope so but also hope they ‘behave’ as we’ve seen a fair share of idiots this year as it is.

Alcohol watching the game, sport, no authority to keep an eye on them.....

I've just had confirmation from Caldy RFC that Saturday's postponed game will now take place on 17th March. I was extremely brassed off at the postponement as I'd bought advance rail tickets to West Kirby for this game. I like to share however the incredibly kind offer from Caldy RFC to send to me in the post a free pass to the re-arranged game to make up for it. I naturally declined the offer as Community clubs like Caldy need all the income they can generate. What a really nice gesture though.

Yes, Caldy seem to be a very decent club, and are about the only one in the league to eschew the dual-registration system. Gotta love 'em for that.

Interesting game tomorrow v Old Elthamians whonhave described it as “the toughest game in their history”, promoted last season and are doing the best of the 3 promoted sides in 6th.
Looking forward to the return of ex Cov winger Don Lespierre who is one of my favourite Cov players of the last 5 years and is 3rd in the N1 top try scorers so he’s always a threat.
OE are also the only side not to lose at Plymouth this season (drew) and then beat them at home a couple of weeks ago and pushed DMP close.
Cov were lucky at their place earlier in the season winning 20-16 and having to defend heroically to hang on to the win, so tomorrow may not be as cut and dried and this overnight rain will make things interesting on the BPA mudbath once again!

Awful assault on Cov loanee Fraser Dingwall playing for England U20’s last night, both French players were sent off, hopefully lengthy bans to follow!!

Thought they said on the radio before KO 3 more wins ,but what do they know, wouldn't trust them to Count to a dozen .

No it’s was 3 on basis others winning

DMP lose today with 0 points gained they can get 118 max
Cov will get 114 (should they hang on) 119 next week with 5

Plymouth before today can get 122 max with their games in hand should they win all with BP

Cov could sort of win it next week (on points difference) as:
Ampthill are now out of it.
DMP could potentially get a max of 119 points, and
Plymouth could also get a maximum of 119 points
As it stands.

So, a 5 point Cov win would put them on 119, which would see off the other two if they both fail to score a point.
Mathematically, the only way Cov could lose it then would be if the other two sides were to overhaul our huge (as it stands right now) PD of 672, and with the others on 226 and 131 I'd venture to suggest that that ain't gonna happen.

I still want it to happen at the BPA though!

5 points next week, lose at Plymouth who get a Try BP Cov gaining 0 points and then a win at home to RP 4 weeks today!? : D

Ha. No way!
Actually, someone has pointed out on the Cov forum that the 'tie-breaker' progression starts with 'games won' (before moving to PD), but this would also be irrelevant if we win next week.

In that case Cov would have to lose last 6 not gaining 5 losing BP’s and DMP win all there’s and then they’d win on points.

Ah sod it it’s done!

Just gutted I didn’t try and find a bookmakers taking odds on a league win I was pretty confident.

Fair play to Cov. Not a fan of the sport at all but its great to see them do well. The other half's family are Cornish Pirates fans so I'll be going to those games next year

Not being funny, but even CCFC wouldn't blow that much of a lead, the title is already in the bag

No, I would like it at the Ricoh and for the vast majority of the crowd to be Covered supporters. That would send a great message to who are the number one rugby team of Coventry.

There won’t be though
