Could have had both of the DKE's in there to keep up there sharpness.

Ponticelli isnt really playing for them either, I know he's on the bench for us though but he won't get much sharpness.
Which is why he should get a 20 mins run out in the U23's.

Very interesting to note too that in the first half Luton went very direct and very long and we withstood it.

In the second half they changed tact and went down the flanks a lot more in an attempt to get round the back of us and put the ball in from dangerous positions on the wing and they looked all the more dangerous for it.

I wasn't too disappointed at all. As soon as Burge made that mistake I expected an equiliser and was even worried about us facing defeat.

We keep playing like that the rest of the season though and the play-offs will most definitely be on.
As much as Burge made a mistake, Grimmer should never have given the player such a good opportunity to put the ball in for the other goal

Upon reflection it's a decent performance against one of the league's better sides and bodes well for the run in. Let's just hope we are starting to hit some form.

Totally agree.

Happened too many times this season. He's good on the ball, but quite poor on preventing crosses coming in from his side.

Looking forward, I would think MR will keep Bayliss in central midfield, but I also think Jordan Shipley is a better back up/re[placement to play central midfield alongside Doyle (ahead of Kelly) - gives us a more attacking option in my opinion. With Willis probably out for a bit, MR will have to get creative at the back and can see Stokes having to cover, We might even have to go 3 at the back and play with wing backs to cover any potential shortage of defenders.

Hopefully Davies will be back soon.

That's because he is our right winger as well as our full back and cover acres of ground (Doyle is the only one who comes close to ground covered - loved that bit towards the end where Doyle chased the ball/man down into their far corner - amazing energy.

Just been on their forum and they seem like a bunch of scumbags. Pleased that there was trouble, someone saying they were glad 10 of there guys jumped a cov fan, thinking the guys pulling the netting were quality. I hope they fuck it up and we beat them at wembley.

I'm still as annoyed by the draw today as I was last night. Yes, i can see we positives, but to go 2 nil up and not hold on is not good.

They are both very poor goals to give away too.

I was just expecting a loss last night and therefore was fine with the draw and as I said earlier, as soon that first goal went in of theirs I was expecting us to lose, so was rather pleased with the one point in the end.

We were the better side first half and Luton edged the second. The proverbial game of two halves. I was okay after the match as we took 4 points off probably the best side in the division. But now I'm thinking we should have won last night.

Yes should have won. Had chances at 2-0, 2-1 as well as at the death to kill the game off. We didn’t really test the keeper enough; he was abysmal 1st half and in the 2nd period we hit shots at him or comfortable height. Mcnulty especially needed on one occasion to just pick the spot.

Why does Haynes duck?? I’m sorry he could have just headed it out and I was wrong last night. It was a good cross and header but Haynes just needed to head it out

It's hard to see from that angle, but judging on the fact that every header Luton contested they had 2 hands in the back every time. Was there a push on Haynes?

Top Logic! We only have 3 fit centre halves, so lets change from a formation where we use 2 of them, to one where we use all 3 at the same time! Bravo

He was excellent in that first half. Second half he looked like he had concrete boots on and was clearly struggling.

I’d imagine it’s the first time the word excellent and he ( Vincenti ) have been used in the same sentence.

Stop giving the twat a free ride! Haynes had a great first half but then reverted to type when bottling another header which led to Burge saving a 1 on 1. As for Burge, well, let’s just leave it there......
All this cobblers about “best keeper in L2” and “we’re lucky to have him”.
Let me know when people have taken their tongues out of his bum crack.

Not sure if its bottle or just poor judgment, he has done this before and will be liable again, does he fail to judge the trajectory or is he looking to not get stuck in, I think the latter would be unusual but it looks like that,

Haynes is poor but last night was one of his better games - he held concentration better then normal in defence. Physically and mentally he’s just too weak. I’m surprised robins didn’t bring on Stokes for the last 15. He’d have stood up much stronger for the goal and they were attacking the flank a lot. Reid and Haynes aren’t a great combination.

First half was as good as we've played at home this season (which has generally been poor ) . In the second half Luton simply upped the pace and showed why they have been top for most of the season. Either team could have won it in the end. I'll settle for a point as long as it's sandwiched between 2 wins.
