Guess The Crowd v Notts County (6 Viewers)

It looks about right to me. First 3 rows netted off, and loads of seats in 25, 26 and 27 have been reserved for POTG and haven't actually been sold. Slightly less than last week seems about right.

I've been there with you lot praying for the crowds to increase, CCFC meaning everything. I had a lot more disposable income then , I haven't now. It's family economics that will stop this selling out, both from City and County fans. The overall price of the match is not just the match ticket and many want to go with kids etc and the cost soon starts to rocket. Holiday companies generally ask for payment 10 weeks before travel date too and this will now coincide with the school holiday start in July.....work it out. Globalization is fucking us up in the UK, low wages against high costs to live I'm afraid for many !

We'd have no chance in sizable crowds of we ever got back to the championship. You won't find any ticket for £22.

Its Exeter wanting big prices out of the four play off teams because they are piss poor and cannot accommodate many fans.
Why don't they relocate to the egg chasing stadium for the play offs?

I'm not going mainly because:

I can't really afford it;
I paid full price + a day on the piss last week;
I've got a new baby son whom I'd prefer to spend time with
Because it's a one off huge game.

This isn't season ticket sales or any average league game, this is our first ever play off game.

Unless there is a valid reason, you can't be much of a supporter of Coventry City if you don't go tomorrow.

Anyone know how many County have sold?
It looks like we have sold just over 13k and they are approaching 3k.

Looking on their forum Some of their fans think it’s a pathetic effort they can’t shift 3k for local fixture Saturday for their first play off in 20 odd years.

Their neighbours , Chesterfield, Mansfield and Lincoln travel so much better. For a so so called traditional big club.

Fair play to Lincoln who got 3 k plus here for midweek game.

Everything forgiven by the last line - make sure he's brought up with Sky Blue Blood - hopefully we'll be a division or two higher by the time he's fully immersed in his footie.

From the Nottingham post earlier today!....

More than 3,000 fans are expected to make the short trip to the Sky Blues as they begin their quest for promotion to League One with a crowd of more than 28,000 expected

....they are expecting a BIG walk up then!

Exeter haven't sold their allocation, thats shocking considering whats at stake, I know it's a long way to travel but no excuses really. Look at our play offs game with Notts County, we've sold about 17000 tickets for Ricoh Arena leg and probably another 5-6000 will pay on the night and if Notts County bring their 4-5000 it could be near a full house 30000 plus and thats what you call serious and excited fans. We were given initial 4000 for leg at Notts County they were sold out in under 2hrs and we've now been given an extra 500 tickets which have gone already, Coventry City are by far the biggest team in the play offs and League 2 and if we reach the final we'll totally outnumber Lincoln or Exeter fans with ease. Sleeping giant Coventry City, too big a club to be in League 2.

Hubris alert. I was feeling quietly confident about our chances. Now we're definitely fucked. Thanks.

I won't be there tomorrow although I'd like to be.

The simple reason is that living outside the UK, we only knew last Saturday that Cov would be in the playoffs which means that the flights were prohibitively expensive at such short notice, and I don't have the time for the train/ferry.

Not a chance in hell of tickets for the away leg as not ST holders. I would normally go with my three lads. I've had to console myself with a flight over for the weekend of the final, and take the risk that they may not get there, in which case I'll just have a long weekend in Cov.

I'm sure there's a few others in the same situation. For the Checkatrade last year, we had at least a month to get everything organised which was plenty of time.

Being out of the country is a crap excuse.

You should be thoroughly ashamed.

No matter how many turn up tomorrow let's get behind the team and make it a great atmosphere.

As it’s a call up or buy on line only I can see a few traditionalists to have not purchased yet. A lot our supporters still like the paying with money to one one approach! Be interesting come 3 if there’s people at the Ricoh ticket office!!

That's right, as with most clubs we have an ageing support and a lot of these like the purpose and tradition of queuing and buying a physical ticket from the stadium, nothing wrong with that and a shame the club don't have this option

Thanks forvthatbinfo Nick,I'll tell my old man he might change his mind now, typical stubborn 80 year old who won't do it via computer, i even offered to buy him a ticket.
Ha, yeah they have the ticket office open from 3. Can go and get them and go in the casino for a bit ;)

If he buys on the gate it doesn't get any priority for Wembley.

It was only just a thought, but it might of been a good idea to have given ST holders their seat for free today for this one off game at home as a way of a thank you for there support over the whole season, but money talks i guess.Im going for 20k tonight..

Don't think the other play-off clubs would have allowed it, or the efl?

Clashing with the European Song contest as well.
It was a hard choice ;)
The problem is it is true for some of us :shy:

My wife has a party with the girls each year for the stupid thing. My 16 year old is away for the weekend. I am left to look after the 8 and 9 year olds. Normally I would have taken both of them so I could get to the game. But I have been off work for nearly 6 months and only went back last weekend.

So I am back at work in the morning. The game will finish just before 9:30. And with a probable decent crowd I would be lucky to be on the road by 10. So home about 2am. 2 1/2 hours sleep then work. Couldn't manage that after looking after kids all day.

Just hope we get to Wembley now. Then my half of the deal kicks in. That is where the wife booked a hotel in London and ferry crossing 3 days after we were supposed to be going to France so I could get to the final.

As has been pointed out several times there are many reasons why many can't go. Mine is Sky ruining football. Night kick-off on a Saturday? Fookin stupidity. They can't be bothered with us most of the time. Suddenly they get the last say.
