Forgot about Pearsons very olde worlde. When I lived in Whitstable I drank in the Ship. I know now what I will doing tomorrow night!!
I was at university in Canterbury in the early 90s and had the misfortune to live in Herne Bay for a year on western esplanade (the end furthest from town). The only pub my mates and I felt safe going in was The Ship (IIRC). I remember travelling back from HB early one Saturday to see us lose at Villa with Big C scoring for them but thankfully Notts County (or was it Luton?) did us a favour and we stayed up.

Hopefully we get the right result again on Friday and I will then look forward to hearing more words of wisdom from Notts Man

Good to see you've got the apostrophe situation sorted out.
I wouldn't be too harsh on him.

I have traced my family all the way back to 1066 and to Nottingham. I have had family who have had streets named after them there and who were lord mayors.

It's not NottsMan 's fault he was descended from the local village idiot.

Might have been my relatives who had his relatives in stocks back then.

There was gong to be 30k sell out at the Ricoh .. then you not got enough away tickets

But you don’t even have 15k cov fans in the ground for the home leg and you still not sold out for meadow lane
And the donkey gets banned for 3 games

Can’t wait for Friday .

Hilton Wembley already booked .

The ship in Herne Bay is still a friendly pub to use.

But your right it can get a bit lively in town night times, especially the piss heads and druggies on the rampage.

I tend to have a beer in Beltinge a lot safer and more civilised. And I don't get the piss taken out of me for wearing a City top.

My bro in law from keresley, uses the term snap for food!!!
Yeah, I used to work for British Coal at Keresley and they all said 'snap.'

Some words just don't seem to be about anymore.

My missus the other day asked what a 'sarnie' was and said that she had never heard the word before. Have to confess, I can't remember the last time I heard it either.

Maybe im getting old but guys clearly a troll ans prob loads of normal notts county fans who dont have any hatred towards us

Yeah, I imagine this guy’s in the minority that all clubs have. Spoke to quite a few of their fans on Saturday who were courteous and very complimentary of our team, fans, manager and stadium.

Assumedly he’s an obese, middle aged, lonely virgin who gets off on this sort of thing, going through our responses with his pants round his ankles.

Wouldn’t be half as bad if he had some half decent banter to be fair. Embarrassing stuff.

You can't talk about CC4L like that! I mean we all think it but you can't say it out loud!

Obviously Notts County man does not read all the messages! If you take poll on the Davies ban then I would say majority of City fans agreed with it as we are sensible level headed football supporters. Can you imagine if the tables had been reversed. They would have apoplectic. However I will be looking out for his comments after Friday with some pleasure. What they don't understand is that now the Sky panel will be seeing everything they will have to curb their antics as well which in real terms diminishes their ability and football played on the deck may just well win the day.

Still not sold out for Meadow Lane?
A) Yes we have: TICKETS: Notts County away leg now sold out!
B) We sold out to just ST Holders and Members -so we sold out 4500 without tickets touching General Sale.
C) You only just managed to sell 2700 tickets at the Ricoh, despite your tickets lingering around like a bad smell on General Sale for a week
D) I hope they forget to put a chocolate mint on your pillow at the Hilton. PUSB

Guys, Believe it or not I'm a Notts fan in peace

Feel a bit embarrassed by the original poster and just want to make it clear he doesn't speak for all of us from Notts!

For what its worth I actually respect your approach to the way you played and agree that the waterlogged pitch help us out in the first half (And for the lead up to our goal)
I for one am looking forward to the game on Friday but also nervous as hell.

One more thing I will say is that it will be one hell of an advert for the league, and should be a cracking game with a rocking Meadow lane!

Just hope that the winner is not decided by a dodgy decision or the dreaded penalties.

Good post, agree that the game was a good advert for the league and very enjoyable. Hope Friday's is equal to it. If Cov scored first I could see it being a cracker, less so if County do as I think you'll close the game out.

In comparison, I had the misfortune to watch both legs of the Villa / Middlesbrough game. Tony Pulis - why?

I work for Hilton.

I've also just cancelled your reservation.

If im honest I think Nolan will try to slow the game up from the off and defend a deep line (Reduce the through ball threat) and try to take the game into the later stages of the second half. One thing we have been very good at this season is springing to life in the last 20-30 minutes of games, especially at home. Just need to keep Mcnulty quiet until then.

Either way, I'll be there watching it through my fingers!
