Right. Bit bizarre though isn't it? Would have said that an own goal would mean everyone lost their bet, except for anyone who had the the option 'own goal'.

OGs don't count as a 1st Goalscorer in normal bookies. So CC was the correct winner. £2k up!

Yeah, originally I gave everybody their stakes back.

Then Astute pointed it out, so I did it all manually this morning.

Otis is moaning because he has run out of cash space I think

Yeah, sorry, I didn't know own goals don't count at the bookies.

I had Shipley as first goalscorer too, so thought I had won on him. Both the BBC and CT had him down as getting the goal, but it would have gone miles wide wouldn't it.

At least its not real money :) I'd have gone into hiding.

I was waiting for the cheque-book and bank card to arrive.

Posted it on another thread but put on a screenshot where Sky Bet paid me out for Chaplin as first goal scorer.

Cheers Nick. Put all my remaining cash on him :smug:

It still isn't as good as the Beavon had trick 1000/1 that went up every week! If he was still here then by January it would be about 600,000/1

Yep, I was betting on that too and also privately on a manned mission to Venus this year.

I stuck 20 grand on a City win. Had no inkling or belief we were going to win and wasn't at all confident, but thought, what the hell and anyway, I can win it all back on Saturday if Nick still has Chaplin at 100/1.
