Point out where I said the majority want a hard Brexit. I said the largest group in the poll wanted negotiations to carry on as they are. This is correct. But when you add this to those who want a softer approach....Which is a third of those who want it to continue as it is.....you have the majority who want out of the dictatorship the EU has become. And you know this is correct.

We don't benefit from the EU like Germany does. We don't have British taking over the top jobs in the EU. Germans are taking over the top jobs. Selmayr getting control of the EU was the final straw for me. Let you Germans pay for it. We are not paying for a German domination of the EU. We are not going to be dominated by Germany.
No they didn’t. They weren’t asked that question. They were asked what deal they wanted and the majority said other than a hard deal. Nothing at all about ASAP.

The Union is not a dictatorship. You are just spouting things now with no basis whatsoever. There is an elected parliament and a council of 28 elected governments. There are rules protecting democracy and sanctions which can be applied to countries moving towards a dictatorship. The only ruling party to vote against sanctioning an anti semite and corrupt illiberal head of government, were the Conservative MEPs. People‘s rights cannot be taken from them in the EU. The only country actively taking rights from their subjects is the UK, who by leaving automatically take away my right to freedom of movement.

There is a difference between accepting we are leaving and wanting to leave because people have realised something that isn’t true. Remain is still in front on the question of „if“ there was a referendum how would you vote.
We had the EU foreign minister, we sat on many committees and had a large number of MEPs. The EU doesn’t work as countries. It has political groupings. Juncker and Selmayr belong to the largest group.
To talk about Germany dominating the UK is crap. Germany has been outvoted more times in the council in recent years than the UK. You have no evidence of German government and you cannot explain what powers Selmayr has that could effect your life.
Yes. It was a coup. Yes he is trying to increase the power of his job. Will he succeed? That is not a given. His staff are there to carry out the will of the commission. If you and I know what he said about the future of his 33000 staff, then so do a lot of others. The fact that there has been uproar and 2 enquiries would suggest that his wishes have opposition. It is certainly starting to dominate the EU. It us a well known fact that Selmayr has been the puppet master for years. And now it looks like he wants another puppet in Barnier to take over from Juncker next year.
So Germany doesn't hold much power?
France, in particular, had its eye on the Secretary-General job, as two of the four great European institutions (the Parliament and the Diplomatic Service) are managed by Germans. Now, thanks to the Selmayr ascendancy, it’s three out of four. Rather a lot.

Isn't it amazing how you can pick and choose to make it sound different to reality.
However, just because people think Brexit is the wrong decision, it doesn’t necessarily mean they think it should be reversed. They do not. When we ask what people think the government should do about leaving the EU, just over half (53%) think that it should go ahead with Brexit, mostly on its current course (42%) though 11% would prefer a softer Brexit. A fifth (21%) think that the government should call a fresh referendum instead, while 13% would prefer them just to halt Brexit altogether.
The speculation is that he pushes the Commission aside and dominates it. The next discussion is 25 September about his power. He won’t lose his job though.

No. I am saying that it was a poll of over 1000 labour members. If your theory is right, that everyone wants out ASAP, then you would expect some labour members also to want what you claim. They don’t.

Your Lex Luther started out as Merkel, you then decided it was Junker and now you’ve moved onto Selmayr.
General Secretary x 3. Juncker’s Job and Tusk‘s job will not go to Germans. The EU does not work on a country basis, apart from the Council and the nomination of Commissioners where all countries are represented. Juncker was nominated for election by a political grouping, not a country. It is unlikely they will choose a German as successor and it is speculation that Barnier will take over. There are other parliamentary committees on which we were represented.
Because they are also voting public and Astute claims that most people want out ASAP. Obviously not true. Or don’t you count labour voters?

Not true. They cannot alter the past, but the meeting on 25 is to see how to stop things like the Selmayr sham happening again.
