The best one I have heard for a while came from a friend of my wifes last night in the pub.

She said (from nowhere as Brexit wasn't being discussed) and I quote: "I have always loved the royal family, but I am starting to go off them now as they have't ome out and openly supported Brexit".

The Saxons were also German, do you think outside influences are a new phenomenon in the U.K.? It’s positively what’s shaped this country and traditions. Our whole culture is a mix of what people have brought here when invading, many of those things are also things that said people adopted from other countries that they invaded. And also things we’ve taken from other cultures when we’ve invaded their countries. Or did you think Yorkshire Tea is grown somewhere near Leeds.

We have never had much of a say. And as the EU doesn't want to negotiate we don't get much of a say in leaving until things change either.

Someone calculated that in the last ( 15 or 20 years- I cannot remember exactly)) in 83% of occasions in the Council we voted with the majority. Who is going to get the result they wanted exactly? Those that voted leave expecting a hard brexit? Those that voted leave expecting a Canada brexit? Barnier does not want a deal because he want’s the punish the UK so that no other country will dare to vote against the corrupt, failed, political nightmare that the EU has become.

The only way they will get a deal is if they give in to every EU demand; And any fool can get a deal if you agree to everything the other side demands and in return abandon all your demands.

Having worked in several former communist block countries and seeing the appalling state they were in when the Soviet Union fell, take my word for it he would be a disaster for us also!

Didn’t Barnier say over a year ago that the EU-Canada deal is the only deal that will work with Brexit? I see it’s Brexit hero BOJO’s “new” big idea this morning. No doubt his followers will be lapping it up even though it’s actually the idea of Barnier. If we go for that we’ve literally had no say in what shape Brexit takes. Everything will be exactly as the EU says it will be from the divorce bill to the final deal. Taking back control etc.

Not necessarily from within the Tory party core membership but a lot of the public that voted leave certainly like him. And why wouldn’t they, he’s telling them what they want to hear even if he isn’t 100% genuine. Rees Mogg has ruled himself out of a leadership competition everytime it’s mentioned so he’ll probably throw his name in the hat. Who will win? Who knows. My guess is we’ll find out not long after the Tory conference. Especially if it’s as much as a disaster as the last one.
