I believe further scans are plannedAny update on this Better Days?
Cheers better days. This reminds me of when Reda Johnson had his last injury with us. This doesn't sound like there is hope of good news.I believe further scans are planned
And possibly a second opinion sought
He had to wait for the swelling to go down so it may be a few days before we hear more
It's bad news when it's taking this long to diagnose. Feel sorry for the lad he will never be the same againCheers better days. This reminds me of when Reda Johnson had his last injury with us. This doesn't sound like there is hope of good news.
He was asked about this at the forum last night and suggested the prognosis didn't look good. He remained hopeful but they are preparing for the worst that he has to start all over again and have the operation from scratch. Best case scenario is they do an exploratory to have a look and clean up and then it will be weeks rather than months, but with then getting up to full fitness and match fit I think we can forget about him being included for a good while yet.
It does beg the question why he was even allowed to try and play on.
Did he say anything else interesting?
It was obvious at the time it was serious, to let him try and run it off was madness.
I know the vast majority of players are only in it for the money but why would you sign a contract with a club that might not exist by the start of next season? It wouldn't surprise me whatsoever if the Ricoh fiasco will holt potential contract extensions until it's sorted. IF it's sorted that is. Agents will almost definitely be getting in their players' ear.

Reminded me of the Ben turner v Leeds mess where he was hobbling around for about 5 mins and did more damage
Agreed, don't think you can blame the medical staff, or lack of them.I said exactly the same to Harry last night as he alluded to us not having as many staff etc down the leagues, but I cited that example as we were in the Championship then.

We're 2 weeks past the game and despite seeing specialists nobody is able to say what the injury is and how severe it is. The alternative is everytime a player goes down injured they get substituted 'just in case'.

The same again? Gutted for him.It doesn't look like good news unfortunately from what I've heard
I guess the club will update us soon
