What's weird about the referendum is that if you were to ask all the faux outraged people now why they voted to leave the EU they'd have forgotten. It is and always has been a non issue in comparison with some of the other decisions made by the Tories since 2010.

Something about a bunch of Nazis forcing us to have more efficient vacuum cleaners?

At least in all of this we still have Andrew Neil...I’m sure most reasonable people can appreciate him.

I’m still laughing at that alt right idiot and from America calling him a leftie.

I’m trying to remember ever seeing an angrier person on TV. What a complete arse he was.

The country isn't going to come out of it in good shape either way, it's an international laughing stock and no foreign government will trust the Tories on the word. No deal and we're out in the wilderness begging to sell off the remainder of the UK to America

No political bias in that statement Fernando

So labour are trustworthy on brexit ?

Election - we will respect the referendum and take us out of the single market and CU (as it was)

WA proposal - whilst it gives us everything we want, it will be a blind Brexit and we have to remain in a customs union. We want a general election.

Recent developments - we want to avoid No Deal (oh, the irony - see above rejections of WA). We won’t agree to a general election because it doesn’t suit us currently.

Neither side come out of this well. SNP and Lib Dem’s for all their faults have at least remained consistent

They voted for Blair after he carried out an illegal war on a false premise but won't vote for a grey haired man advocating social democratic policies

Got it
This is my second and last post in this never ending thread.
I work for National Grid and Labours policy if they ever get into power, is to renationalise us.
We never talk politics on break but not one of us can see the sense renationalising a hugely successful company that pays hundreds of millions into the treasury each year.
Terrified of losing our jobs, I can see the sense renationalising chaotically run companies like the railways but not us. It will cost them multi billions to do so in the first place, just can't see the sense.
Schmee mentioning, look what happened in the nineties, makes no sense either, these are unique times nothing like the nineties.
All I'm doing is telling you the feedback from my company, that's all. I'm the only floating voter I know in my section everyone else bar one was a staunch labour man and they absolutely hate Corbyn.
If labour had a decent leader, a foreign secretary that can add up, they would stand a great chance but I can't see it happening until the get rid of them.
Now if that bloke Chuka Umana was still labour, sorry for spelling, I would vote for them.
Getting off this thread now as I've had a belly full of this saga .

And the low energy lightbulbs.

Of course the low energy lightbulbs. But apart from that what have the EU ever done for us?

The EU working time directive?

Oh fuck off.

Emily thornberry says she will negotiate a deal with the European Union, then put the deal to the country and campaign to remain, effectively campaigning against a deal that she helped negotiate... What an absolute sausage..

Labour are a joke

Missed QT last night but just watched it...bloody hell she is utterly clueless and what a nasty piece of work too.

1. Bet you can’t explain why they hate Corbyn. Obviously war mongers are far more desirable to vote for
2. Chuka Umanna - You couldn’t guarantee he’d still be in the party he was in at the beginning of the day. He is as insipid as it gets.

I bloody hate posters who state " bet they don't know why they voted this or that way" or "bet they don't know why they think like they do" , it's like he's the only fucker in the world who has more than one brain cell.
Does the twat know all these people who think differently to him ?
Fucking arrogance and patronising in the extreme.
They usually are the thick as shit ones.
Usually not great debaters either, it's his thinking, or you are as thick as shit.

Bernie would be the best thing to happen to the U.S. since FDR, sadly Biden's name recognition is keeping him in the lead.

Have you seen Fahrenheit 11/9 ?

Basically indicating that Saunders won all counties in West Virginia primary yet the state ‘picked’ Hillary ?! I don’t totally get how it works in the US but wonder if this happened on other states.

It isn't arrogance to state that it was a non issue, I can only speak for people I know and extrapolate that across the population.

If it was such an issue UKIP would have had more than one MP win an election. They didn't, Farage didn't. They've had one MP elected and even he fucked off to go independent.

Not being funny Rev but let's get it straight if they've always voted Labour until now they voted for Blair even after the WMD bullshit, and voted for Ed Miliband after he ran as a moderate Tory, it's an odd set of electoral standards.

Democratic primaries operate with pledged delegates that are allocated according to candidates' share of the vote and unpledged delegates that choose who they want. It came in after Michael McGovern's nomination to act as a block against more progressive candidates getting nominated. Sanders was thoroughly screwed over in 2016-debate leaks to the Clinton side, polling stations being closed early in pro-Sanders areas, etc etc. He'd have beaten Trump comfortably.

The last two labour ministers trying to explain the labour stance has ended in embarrassment with Andrew Neil tearing apart Angela Rayner and the not exactly savage Fiona Bruce mocking and laugh ting at Thornberry with the audience just laughing and shaking their heads

No wonder they won’t have an election.

It may also be that no one trusts that liar BoJo with his fellow rulers, Rees Mogg, the scum of the world of snobs and the unelected Rasputin type Cummings.

As for amusing politicians, BoJo is on a roll, from being hammered at question time to making an utter fool of himself on the campaign trail for the election he doesn’t want at the police academy. Already forgotten how to do the caution despite his recent brush with law. Him and Rees Mogg are working in jobs well above their pay grade and are being exposed for the clowns that they are. I am enjoying the spectacle of the bullshitters being outflanked by older more experienced politicians such as Corbyn or Ken Clarke. A lot of people are waking up. Rees Mogg‘s Show of contempt for parliament followed by insulting a consultant has shocked many of his supporters.

'Outflanked by older more experienced politicians like Corbyn' , never in my life would I ever thought I would see those words.
Labour is unelectable, that is a fact. No doubt in fantasy land, on his first day in office he would be off to the Middle East to see his friends Hezbollah and the other terrorists organisations he's gone on march's with.
He will decimate our armed forces, fact.
He will let any foreign power dictate to us every demand they have, knowing we have one Combat ready pushbike and one fully armed pedalo as our total defence force. He's unelectable and everyone bar the most staunch labour voters know it.
Is there a worse image than Diane Abbott being our foreign secretary, we will be the laughing stock of the entire world.

I'd almost take May's deal passing in return for the karma of Johnson going down in history as one of the most inept, dishonest, unwittingly prejudiced prime ministers of our time.

Let him stew a bit though. It's nice to see the egomaniac look quite so troubled when he realises the contempt some have for the clown patrolling our streets like a double glazing salesman, destroying our great country.

Not trying to argue, but I often see people saying he's a racist etc etc,is this just in response to his comments on the burka

It’s a bit of a stitch up. Interesting docufilm, the usual trump stuff (we all know he’s a dangerous weirdo) but a couple of things about Clinton and Obama that don’t reflect well on them/democrats (the picking of Clinton over Saunders being the major one)

Describing black people as pickaninnies with watermelon smiles.

I mean I get these comments are of ill taste, they were over 10 years ago however... My argument is I have multiple examples of current labour MPs saying things which would raise eyebrows... Certainly to those looking at it neutrally.

I think the problem is people cherry pick based on who they support, there are examples of dianne Abbott saying rather ridiculous things about white people, and there are examples of Emily thornberry saying similarly derogatory things about women in burkas but the irony is we choose to ignore these comments if they follow our own political beliefs.. Funny eh

If Labour got in power, none of you would care that Mrs thornberry said she wouldn't want women in burkas teaching her children..for example

You? I actually can’t stand either Thornberry or Abbott so I don’t know who you is. Abbot is the Boris of the Labour Party and at least the Labour Party hasn’t pushed her to the top spot.

None of you I said quite clearly...

My point is we are all hypocrites when it comes to politics, none of us are impartial and its all a load of tribal bollocks.

Hence why remainers can't see leavers side of the argument
And leavers can't see remainers side of the argument

Read a story today about a socialist (keyword) Labour MP in Wigan who has claimed over 1.6 million in expenses over the last 10 years.. Her father is a multi millionaire too..its all bullshit, the lot of it

Boris Johnson being foreign secretary.
Are you being serious !, I'd rather have Mr Bean as foreign secretary than someone who can not do the most basic arithmetic that a primary school pupil could do.
She is fucking embarressing, fact.
I wonder if Corbyn wil be off to attend the next real IRA march, he must be due to attend a terroist march pretty soon.
Actually I've just heard he's approved finance for a second fully armed Pedalo to protect our shores, so I may have been a bit hasty.
I bet Putin is wishing with every bone in his body that somehow Corbyn gets in as he will have free rein over us. Centuries of being looked upon as a major power will be lost in days under Corbyn, he will sell all our equipment to Hamas the day he gets in, yes I know it's a fantasy that he does get in but I'm open minded so it could happen if every ballot paper is miscounted by the new specialist vote counter just appointed, Diane Abbott

She absolutely is an embarrassment, I wouldn’t even dream about arguing that point. Boris is also guilty of all the things you throw at Abbott. He thinks Scotland is the highest taxed country in Europe for instance, if he could count he would know that isn’t even remotely near the truth. He’s her equal yet the Tory Party is so lost it’s made him PM.

Yet it was fine when it came to Hammond being billions out with his figures.

You probably didn't hear about it but Hammond got his sums wrong by £20bn

Oh yeah and the Brexit party putting a pro IRA candidate forward but that doesn’t seem to get covered as much.

Fuck me Tony, Abbott who can't add up basic maths my 2 year old nephew could do or someone with an actual brain cell.
Sums up perfectly labour voters, whoever is in the job, even if it's Pol Pot, I'm voting labour

I’m not a Labour voter. I’ve almost exclusively voted Tory my whole life, until recently.

Irrespective of how much you disliked the referendum result If remain voters can just see past the cliche "thick, little Englanders who don't know what you voted for because we are of a higher social standing" stereotype they often put forward.
Then you can surely see and have some understanding of why so many feel let down and deflated... Irrespective of how much you despise the leave vote.
Put the shoe on the other foot, you'd be feeling the same as leave voters do right now, if remain won but MPs decided it was best to leave anyway irrespective... You'd be worse than leave voters are now I have no doubt
