I’m not a Labour voter. I’ve almost exclusively voted Tory my whole life, until recently.

Find that extremely hard to believe, nobody goes from being a tory to supporting corbyn, which is almost like taking a flight to Australia in terms of the distance in shift on the political scale.

Went from being centre right /right to far left just recently

Yet it was fine when it came to Hammond being billions out with his figures.

Oh yeah and the Brexit party putting a pro IRA candidate forward but that doesn’t seem to get covered as much.
Christ can't you remember the shit the last three labour governments left us in ? Remember the note left by the treasury to the conservative government, ' sorry no money left at all' they mocked us.
I'm torn between the tories , liberals because I really think if Chuka Umani had some power he really would do good, or the greens.
Corbyn and his treason when he met with Hamas and Hezbullah will never be forgiven by a lot of us.
Labour with a decent leader would have walked this next election which they will come to regret.

Irrespective of how much you disliked the referendum result If remain voters can just see past the cliche "thick, little Englanders who don't know what you voted for because we are of a higher social standing" stereotype they often put forward.
Then you can surely see and have some understanding of why so many feel let down and deflated... Irrespective of how much you despise the leave vote.
Put the shoe on the other foot, you'd be feeling the same as leave voters do right now, if remain won but MPs decided it was best to leave anyway irrespective... You'd be worse than leave voters are now I have no doubt

I voted leave. It isn't a cliché, people expose their reasoning every day in the social media age.
Nobody voted for no deal and no campaign even countenanced the idea.

You can believe what you like. I also have no intention in voting labour in the next GE. Whenever that is.

No we voted to leave, if a deal can't be done then we leave without a deal.
Because we voted to leave the European Union... That was what was on offer and that's what people voted for... TO LEAVE
60% of Labour constituencies voted LEAVE
70% tories LEAVE
Around three quarters of MPs are doing the opposite of what their Constituents voted...You know if it was any other issue where these kind of numbers were tallied and MPs went against their constituents.. Mr corbyn would be calling it an injustice, a disgrace to the people and democracy because he's spent his whole career doing it...

I can concur your post as you and me had some heated exchanges immediately following the referendum and for some months afterwards.

None of that actually had anything to do with my post and just reiterated the point I was making.

Best tell Boris to get his act together and stop creating an environment that causes parliament to waste a week playing silly buggers.

Great, let’s extend article 50 and aim for the EEA option as a compromise and repair the country.

Once again, leave on the basis of a deal and no detriment.
It'll be interesting to see how they feel if no deal materialises and the impact of it.

If Corbyn is far left then the Tories are far right

No this is happening because MPs are hiding behind democracy to put their own agendas before the people who put them there.. They are the shit stains of society not people like me, not people like you.
They are creating anger and hatred and will pay for it spoon enough.. But for people like yourself you think this is funny, but it isn't.
You will be the first on here moaning when Britain has a very hard right wing majority in the house after the next general election... And it will be because wankers like Labour and the lib Dems thought it fit to play silly buggers with the people.

I’m not a fan of his but I disagree.

I just find it strange that so many traditional labour voters in their 50s and 60s think this and won't vote for him because of it.

Younger Labour voters won't know any different

Or there is hardly any impact at all, but you keep on wishing our country suffers, because at least you ,sickboy, Ian, Shmee, (who lives totally in the past) ,and good old Tony, can sleep with a smug smile on their faces.
Can you imagine that after a few months of struggle, that we all think will happen , this country takes off and once again becomes a world leader respected throughout the world and in total control of its own future without unelected grey haired bureaucrats trying their best to hold us back.
You, Tony, Ian and Shmee will absolutely hate it if our country gets through this and becomes successful so our future generations, our sons, daughters and grand children can take this up and prosper even more.

I can't stand how you continually run down this country of ours down. All of you seem to thrive on Is our country's struggle to survive .
Look at yours, Tony's, Shmees, and good old Ian's posts, you actually seem to look forward to the UK's struggles.
Yes we will struggle short term , we all agree on this, but think what our generation will leave to our younger siblings, free to engage and negotiate deals around the world without the intervention of unelected grey haired politicians who we have no idea what this country stand for.
Thank the lord in my previous life that I wasn't in the same trenches as you, Shmee ,Ian's and good old Tony ,who knows best from his experience, whatever it was. We fought for so long for our independense but as long as you lot can score cheap shots and then run the country down your all happy.
I take the other view that this is a great chance for all of us

Listen to yourself - so fucking caught up in your own ideological rants you can’t even see the detail that is front of you.

Fernando has said repeatedly on this thread that he voted Leave.

I have consistently said on this thread for the past 2 1/2 years that despite voting remain, I believed the result should be respected. I’ve argued that despite being a Labour member that a path to stopping Brexit is not the right one in my opinion (although I totally support Corbyn and others in getting no deal off the table permanently). I’ve called out the arrogance of the Remain campaign, and in particular their inability over the last 3 years to not take the time to find out WHY the country voted Leave... and if you want them to change their mind, what will you offer that will compel them to switch positions.

So many people on this thread have said the same, but because they aren't frothing at the mouth for a no-deal Brexit you label us all as wanting the country to suffer. You are talking out of your arse.

You talk about how ‘we can make a success for our children, grandchildren... tell me how? My parents both voted Leave and just trot out the usual bollocks of ‘we did it for your future’ - so tell me one single tangible piece of information that backs that statement up? ‘We did it to be in control of our own laws’ - well what fucking European law in particular was causing you the most grief because I must have missed that one.
‘What about the unelected bureaucrats?’ Er hello - have you not seen our parliament dominated by old, out of touch dinosaurs... and that’s not even mentioning the Lords...

Why should anyone have to go through ‘a few months of struggle’ so people can simply have their ideological moment? If leaving is so important then put pressure on your Leader to get it done properly - which means having to accept that no-deal is History.

And by the way - Diane Abbott is Shadow Home Secretary, not the Foreign Secretary which you said on multiple occasions.... and you’ve got the cheek to criticise her for getting stuff wrong.

No way do you write the way you do, that you like our country.
You seem to desire that you would love our country to fail so you can say ' I told you so'.
Can you imagine if after a lull we leave such a bright future for the next generation.
But no doubt, you will come on here with some more negativity if you find one single aspect that's not quite working.
Some people hate the country they live in and you and the rest obviously do. Rather than fight for your country all you want to do is slag it off.

What do you think trade deals are and who do you think agrees them? I felt a bit like you 3 years back but it is naive in the extreme.

Fuck me Ian did I have to actually quote that the oppositions foriegn minister is exactly the shadow foreign minister.
Great point you make. I'm definately out my depth.
Vote Labour, beacause mr my Dad his grandad and my grandad did. Fuck what I think I'm labour through and through, even if it means Corbyn , who meets and goes on terrorists marches ,and that Diane Abbott will be our next foreign Secretary

I'm defeated by Ian who points out it's Home Secretary not Foriegn.
Who thinks I'm fucking hitting my head against a brick wall !
Their argument is I quoted an incorrect government position.
Never come against such high level intellect before so I bow to their arguments that I quoted the wrong position .
Well I'm convinced, I'm off to vote Corbyn as their supporters have put such an intellectual opposition.
Respect

So essentially you have nothing to say on my other points... just ‘look at that Corbyn bloke’ and ‘you’re just a country hating traitor’

Nice....

None of my family voted Labour... all a bit too easily conned by the bollocks from the Mail, Sun and Express sadly.
Have you a brain, can't you make up your own mind .
I've never subscribed to any paper so I actually make my own mind up, what I believe or what's total shit.
The only time I buy a paper is for the evening football scores.
Oh I forgot the way I think is from a paper I've never brought or read.
Another great post Ian, you are on fire tonight. Again if I don't think the same as him I'm as thick as shit.
He proves it every post

Ian, FP, Good old Tony and Shmee are such lost talents to the debating society.
Absolutely no way are they aren't blinkered, no way will I have it.
I think we may have 3 of the greatest debaters ever lived on this earth..
Brilliant
