Yeah because ‘shmmeee’ would do sooooo much better, deluded

How can you defend this?

They've been letting people go from hospital into the most vulnerable settings without testing them. It's utterly scandalous.

You literally cannot have a bad word said about the government can you, no matter how true it is.

Just unbelievable.

This whole time we've been releasing patients from hospital into care homes without testing them.

I mean, fucking hell.

It is indefensible now, this government has blood on it's hands.

I've been waiting for someone in government to issue a correction over what Hancock said as it seems unthinkable that we were actually sending infected people into social care with some of the most vulnerable in society. Goes beyond incompetence.

Looking a lot like we’ve peaked looking at today’s numbers.
Are todays likely to be lower 'weekend' type numbers because of the bank holiday and then a jump tomorrow? Cautiously optimistic if these are regular numbers. The next problem will be there is no sign of an exit plan.

Is the little prick defending releasing potentially infected patients into environments chocka with the eldest and most vulnerable without testing them first?

His comment was could Shmmeee do better?
Don't recall Shmmeee putting himself forward as a competent politician and taking the wage and associated benefits in return for serving and being answerable to the UK public.

And we wouldn't need to if Hancock himself had procured effective testing kits

The first lot he did get were duds.
I wouldn't trust the fucker make the tea

Have a day off mate. There's no defence for these clowns. Not only should heads roll from this shit show of a government, but some of them should be up on criminal charges.
What's happened here is fucking scandalous.

Personally, I'd rather see how it goes in other countries loosening restrictions first

Yeah we should be testing everyone, I’ve criticised the government more than people on here for it, doesn’t mean everyone needs to think they are experts on the situation eg shmmeee

Nobody is pretending to be an expert when they point out that sending people with a deadly contagious virus into a place where a number of the most vulnerable people live is not a good idea.

It seems mad that they have even been doing it.

I can't get my head around it

Yeah well we need to test them all then don’t we

Yep, and we need to create provision for them to either remain in hospital or go to an intermediate place until they're no longer shedding virus. I'd suggest keeping them in hospital is probably the best idea as there appears to be the bed capacity to do so.

Not just throw them out and hope!

It's the way Hancock announces it like this is some great idea. That we're all going to be amazed by this ground breaking proposal.

Look how brilliant we are, I can now announce that as of today we are doing blah blah....

Should have been doing it 6 weeks ago you prick.

No these are yesterday’s numbers so proper ones. That’s several days of steady numbers now, should see them dropping soon.

Fair enough - it has been. But don't you think it'd only take a tiny amount of intelligence for one member of government or one of their advisors to come up "hang on, the elderly are incredibly susceptible to this virus. Is it a good idea to send people from the places that are full of people with the infection into the places not only filled with the elderly but the most frail and vulnerable elderly without testing them? Could that in any way have a negative outcome?"

It's basically finding a fox, picking it up and putting it into the hen house. At best it's staggeringly incompetent and given some of this governments advisors takes on eugenics etc the worst doesn't even bear contemplating.
