The NHS, presumably.
I know. But the money raised isn't going into running the NHS. It is going into funding what should be funded bu the British government though. It.is shameful that charity funding is needed.

SB helped you out.

So you agreed that the money old Tom raised is going into running the NHS when it isn't.

Why do you always have to pick for the sake of picking? It’s going TO the NHS... which in itself is THE most iconic example of socialism in the country.

The point stands.

99 year old goes above and beyond in fundraising for NHS

Some dude on the internet donates (good), and hopes people criticise him so he can prove a point

Honestly we have much more in common than what divides us but you wouldn't know it from this thread and many others.

It is but still a great effort by Tom all the same.

I could imagine mine calling him a 'little cringlesticker' whatever that meant
It's the using the a war they never fought in to attack other people that would of really pissed him off.

From what I can gather he was sunk a few times and lost a lot of friends and it was horrible.

People like wurzel are well described in the last verse of Suicide In The Trenches by Siegfried Sassoon.

Moving on from the carrot fucker

I see the experts are now saying there is no chance of hitting 100k tests by the end of the month.

They also say the capacity line is rubbish as it's all well and good having lab capacity but it is worthless if you don't have the ability to take enough swabs to be tested.

Let’s not forget the Poles involved in the Battle of Britain too, oh and all of the other countries from around the world, strange how that’s never part of the narrative that gets pushed though
Surely even this thread can agree everyone who fought against the nazis is a hero.

Yep. Most importantly the battle hardened Polish airmen taught us the flying formations and gun set ups needed. Bloody Poles, coming over here furnishing is with the knowledge to win the Battle of Britain.

We can, just some seem confused about the mindset of those that did. They seem to think people of the mindset of Oswald Moseley and his black shirts did, not realising that the opposite was true.

And Gove is an uncharismatic fool.

i don’t understand how this is all such a shock.

plenty of people were saying that Johnson was a fool, unfit to lead, a shirker, a clown. Few months down the line and it turns out he’s a fool, unfit to lead, a shirker and a clown

The poles also cracked the enigma code

Then you should know better. Go and have a long hard think about things. Read about Oswald Mosley, read about Paddy Mayne and understand that Paddy Mayne would have torn Mosley and his followers a new arsehole simply because he/they were c**t.s Then ask yourself why you have more in common with Mosley’s mindset than you do Mayne’s.

Moseley was a traitor we all agree
The likes of Tommy Robinson are modern day Mosley’s. Katie Hopkins would have been Lord Haw Haw. Papers like The Daily Mail supported the cause of The British Union of Facist. Be careful who you allow to influence you especially when you go around accusing lefties of being an enemy of WW2 vets, it’s rewriting history because the opposite is true.

It isn't picking. I might not like the Tories and what they stand for but nothing wrong with pointing out the truth is there?

As I said it is shameful that charity fundraising is needed.

Let's turn it the other way. If anyone kept saying false things as the truth against Labour....like G does....It soon gets pointed out by several at the same time. And have you noticed I also pull G up for the lies/false information.

Or are we only supposed to pull up false information on one side but not the other?

What have I said that’s false about labour? I said the brown and Blair years were some of the best in domestic policy - you thought it wasn’t for some reason and never seem to vote labour at all

Certainly a great effort. And to very good causes. Help for those who desperately need it and even for treats for those on the frontline.

Would have been thoroughly pissed off if it had been swallowed up by the daily running costs of the NHS.
