That’s just absolute bollocks and you know it, it’s been a national effort the whole country has made to keep everyone safe and to protect our NHS, to say the government couldn’t give a toss about individuals is embarrassing

Keep everyone safe? Between 40-65 thousand people have died including hundreds of NHS staff.
We're one of the worse performing countries in the world, but never mind, you're getting to the pub next week.

They couldn't give a toss about most individuals, they bust a gut protecting one individual.

Johnson trying to bullshit his way through PMQs again today and getting rinsed by his own previously issued figures, fucking amateur hour.

Considering the message/evidence that U45's are pretty much bulletproof he can probably get away with it

Difficult for the other categories.

Numbers a bit better today

653 new infections
154 deaths

looking better but community transmission is likely to be around 2500 per day at those figures. If we can get the new infection at 300 to 500 and keep it there we will be getting there.

Mentioned the Pest company the other day, but it turns out there are more.

All perfectly above board I am sure...

"A minute at 2 metres contact is about the same risk as 6 seconds at 1 metre. The risk at 1 metre is 10 to 30 times higher than the risk at 2 metres." - Sir Patrick Vallance, the Governments Chief Scientific Advisor.
The problem with 1 metre is that it's no distance at all. Distancing in England is pretty much over.

You really are stupid.

The independence argument isn't "we don't want HMT that we pay into to help our businesses out" it's more "We think the interests of Scotland would be best served if we had our own treasury so we did't have to ask London to give us some of the North Sea Oil profits back".

We'll add Scottish independence to the bumper book of things you don't understand.
All you seem to do is quote others. Nothing original to say, Gerry boy.

Seeing as I’m on one today. Can you please start saying ‘have’ instead of ‘of’. You come across as relatively handy in a lot of subjects but using ‘of’ absolutely kills anything you say for me.
My phone keeps writing anymore instead of any more. It can fuck off.

Any more refers to quantities.
Anymore is an adverb referring to time. Pretty sure it’s American though dude.
Never fused any and more together. Seems an American import to me. Thanks for calling me dude. I never get called that. Sounds funny !

Matt Hancock makes me want Jeremy Hunt back in the same way that Boris makes me want Cameron.

And that is about as damning an indictment as you can get.

I keep thinking "well at least we've scraped the barrel now" and yet somehow we still end up finding someone worse. I think there can't be someone more incompetent than Johnson, then I remember Gove....and Hancock....and Raab...and Grayling.....and Patel.

How have we got to a stage where our big dreams for the country are having someone in charge who could be described as 'reasonably competent'

Country’s been in decline for a good while now and the lack of quality politicians is one of many symptoms

This is why open selection should at least be mandatory at every election cycle. Let the constituents decide if you are serving them adequately. Is it perfect? Perhaps not but it would keep more of them on their toes.

To be fair it is now much easier for constituents to petition against their MPs but the problem is we only take an interest every 5 years, which is the same as what can be said for the current ruling party. Great at winning elections, useless in office.

"trust in the common sense of the British people to carry us though and see us to victory" - Boris Johnson earlier this week announced the easing of lockdown restrictions.

Major incident declared in Bournemouth as thousands of people flock to beaches
A major incident has been declared in Bournemouth after thousands of people descended on the area's beaches.

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council said people had "defied advice to stay away" and condemned them as "irresponsible" as services struggle to cope.

The influx of beachgoers has caused "widespread" problems with illegal parking, "excessive" littering, gridlock on roads and anti-social behaviour, Bournemouth Council said.

There were a number of reported incidents of fights and excessive alcohol use, while cleaning crews received "abuse and intimidation" as they attempted to empty overflowing bins on the seafront.
